The issue with the Internet in Cuba is the broadband is very slow and expensive, the government prefers it that way. One of the US stipulations is they have to correct that.
However, there are 3G and 2G towers in Havana, if one can has a SIM card that will connect to a tower - one can upload video. The nice feature about Cuba is only 15 out of 100 Cubans have a cell phone, unlike the US which has 98 out of 100, 123 out of 100 in Argentina. Less competition for the nearest tower's signal.
iPhones are better at keeping a connection with the Periscope app than Android, especially on slower networks. If they're using an iPhone as a hotspot and preferably connect to a 3G tower - they can stream the concert. If they are planning to stream it, I would think the setup is a bit more complex that using an iPhone to connect to a tower. Although, hopefully if they are connecting to the Internet for a livestream tonight, they're not using the same set up they had for Lima or Bogotá - if I remember their connection was down for one or both of those cities.
I can't imagine the Stones streaming the entire concert tonight when they plan to sell us a DVD of it. But anything is possible.

Yes, unfortunately. Sorry for anybody who doesn't use a cell phone. Although I'm not even sure if it works on the app. There's nothing but a blank, black screen right now. Maybe the streaming starts when the show starts. Or maybe it won't be used until another tour, or it's still being perfected.

It seems that the main area in front of the stage is fenced. Are people just going to gather on the other side of the fence?
It looks quite enclosed - by fences and trees; wondering where 500,000 are going to fit?
Any pictures showing the venue from a distance?

The distance from the stage to the fence doesn't look any greater than the length of a normal stadium field. It looks to stretch a long way in the direction that the photo with the chairs is showing, but the stage isn't facing in that direction.
