Thank you very much! Now I also know where this fantastic version of Sister Morphine is from. Does anybody know where to watch the whole broadcast? Just found OOC and SM on yt and those two performances are amazing!
I was at this show. Great, but short set. The show was originally scheduled for the previous week but if I remember correctly, Mick had a cold or something and the Stones had to postpone and David Bowie was brought in as a last-minute replacement.

I too was at this show. We ended up front row center. We saw ourselves on the broadcast several times. I remember getting hit in the face with Lisa's scarf during Gimme Shelter. Mick grabbed onto my sisters hand during either gimme shelter or out of control and would not let go. Yes it was short but it was definately the best experience of my concert going life. Those are just a few highlights, did not want to bore everyone with a complete recap.
We were headed out the door to an activity of some sort at my kid's school and I frantically searched for a blank cassette to pop into the VHS to record this off of MTV. I didn't get a chance to watch it until a couple days later, and Out of Control blew me away. It was a much longer version than they play now, with Mick crazy dancing all over the stage and a screaming wah-wah solo from Ronnie. I thought it was better than the PPV show from St Louis.
Gimme Shelter was great as well. Sister Morphine was good, but I think I remember that they cut a verse. Money was tight and I was on the fence about going to a show, but after watching this I found a way to scrape together $100 for a back of the arena seat. I need to dig out that tape, and the VHS player.
