Once you've been close, it's hard to be anywhere else. My experience is that luck can usually repeat itself. I was stage front in 1975 Buffalo, only to be topped by being a mere 5 feet away at the Echoplex warm up show for the 50 and counting tour. So to answer the question, no, it wouldn't mar my experience in the least. Being "in the house" is good enough for me. There are always closer seats if you know how to work it (wink wink)

Sometimes it is and sometimes you then appreciate it more later when you don't get that close. I was able to get front row for my idol a few times then actually played onstage with my idol a year later...

Speaking of the tour itself (and I have no knowledge or information)-given 10/19 is a Wednesday and a rare weeknight major Vegas show, it seems safe to assume 10/22 would be a sure thing.

This would mean they would be looking to leave that region as opposed to playing 10/22 and 10/29 b2b weekends.

That being said, where would they be playing in the 10/25-26 and 10/29-30 timeframe? Would they be jumping directly east or midwest?

After Vegas there would be a max of 10-11 gigs. So does NYC get 2-3 and then 5 other cities get 1?

I'm not trying to get the best seats possible - been there done that (small clubs, theaters, front row arena's, stadiums, etc. at much lower prices), and it wont mar the experience.
On the flip side, I wont settle for the worst nosebleeds - there's not much of a point in doing that at this late stage of the game. Will settle for half way back or a bit further either on floor or lower loge, and take it from there. I've been known to maneuver my way through any obstacles and obstructions to get as close as necessary.

As for Desert Trip, I happily settled for the less expensive loge section seats for weekend two, and landed right near the nearly twice as expensive loge seat section at about midway.
There's basically an aisle that separates my cheaper seats from the outlandish priced ones.


ps - Still looking for Desert Trip weekend 1 pass in the mid-price range at face value (plus fees).

Everyone is different..... myself I would rather go to fewer shows and be up close, but that is just me!

I can't see the Stones ending the tour with just Desert Trip & Vegas. Here's my thinking

October 7th - 9th: Desert Trip
October 14th - 16th : Desert Trip
October 19th - Las Vegas
October 22nd - Las Vegas
Chicago
Boston
NYC
Philadelphia
Washington DC

I'm thinking there is an Oakland Date before Dessert Trip.

I was thinking San Diego but they were there during Zip Code. Possibly LA or Oakland as you said

LA would make sense between Desert Trip weekends....

It's NOT sad that they are touring. Thank God. Thank you Rolling Stones for continuing to show up. They're still showing up for life. That helps some of us (me).

When do you think other dates/ cities will be announced?
