I agree with kammpberg.. It is just not that special. This kind of basic blues gets very old very fast for me. At least Jagger's solo material is mostly original rock/pop... Much of the solo stuff is "dreadful," yes, but more interesting to hear every now and again, in my opinion, than a bunch of 12-bar blues.

One song was officially released on Mick's best of-album, no?

Yes.
According to the wiki link previosly posted:

"one song from the session, "Checkin' Up on My Baby", was released,
appearing on Jagger's The Very Best of Mick Jagger album in 2007".

Yep. And CHECKIN' UP ON MY BABY was sounding 10 times better soundwise compared to the bootleg version. Bring on the other songs from this session in this superb quality instead of the blurred muddy, not so clear sound of the bootlegs.

PS: I was at that concert in Paradiso too Mathijs. It was billed as The Red Devils, but it was Lester Butler and Band. Not The Red Devils and not 13.

Aha, what year was it, do you remember? I vaguely remember The Paladins where on the bill that night as well. An old friend of mine got one of Lester's harmonicas as a gift that night.

Mathijs

I love it tru-and-tru when Jagger sings the blues; and he does a mean, wonderful job here with the Red Devils.
It all has a wonderful 'live' vibe & ring to it...
But in all fairness, some songs do seem & sound like he's recording 'just' a demo.
A perfectionist artist like Jagger would never-ever release that. So I can understand - and in a way, even agree with him for not letting these complete recordings see the light of day. (...though I truely hope someday they will!)

Jagger should consider a bootleg project of his own.
- Jagger & The Red Devils
- Live at Webster Hall 1993
Nothing fancy, just available as downloads from his website.
(Will never happen, I know...)
