One of the Chuck Berry covers would be nice to my ears. I know they've got originals that are in the same vein, but I'd really like to hear them play some Chuck, one more time. Or even 20 Flight Rock. Eddie Cochran's close enough to keep me happy! I guess I'd just like to hear them play something from their original "Rock & Roll" influences again.

Peace,
Mr DJA

Out Of Control. Hell they could start with it. Mick in that sort of light that has him in a frontal shadow. When the chorus kicks in, you see them all for the first time. Check out Springsteen doing Highway To Hell in Australia last year to see what great effect it gives.

Just like this.

1981 version?

Must be the 1978 version?

It is '78. That was the first video I pulled up and figured it didn't matter.

Let It Loose. Phish (check it out on YouTube) did a very acceptable version live and I'm sure the Stones could still work it with the backing they can call on. The only thing missing was Jagger's drawl which they couldn;t recreate...the song is in D so Mick could still manage it without having to change the feel of the song by shifting key. Come on Mick, if you or your flunkies read this...give it a go!

Dandelion would sound great, I am sure (after they did a really great version of 2000 lightyears from home back in 1989/90). It's an overlooked gem, IMO.

But being a realist I would be happy if the played Lady Jane again because it worked so well in London 2013.

Yes, I was very surprised they didn't play Lady Jane in 2014.

Any of these suggestions, posted so far, would great and would make for an interesting setlist.

My suggestions:

Unrealistic: "Can't you hear the music"

Semirealistict: "Luxury"

Maybe Realistic: "Out of Time"

I wouldn't laugh, and pretty sure I'd die if that happened.

There is no question that "have you seen your mother" is the best choice

be good if they could play another couple of songs previously never played live before.

jigsaw puzzle
let it loose or
child of the moon

but it would be also great if they could release a live album of songs which have never before appeared live on any album

they must have a lot of these songs that fit this category.

As a huge fan I'm all for some lesser known gems to be played live. But The Stones are a nostalgia band at this point and have been for the last 2 decades. The same can be said for the The Who, Eagles, Pink Floyd, etc. Their job is to play the hits for the baby boomers who will pay the high ticket prices to listen to hits of their youth. Playing obscure songs does not fit in the financial model. At best, history shows one or two songs from a list of 10 are played each night. BTW SLAVE would get my vote.
