1. Leftover BLACK AND BLUE songs were turned into an album
2. Letfover SOME GIRLS songs (the good ones) were turned into an album
3. That they'd put as much energy into touring UNDERCOVER in 1983 and in 1984 toured for it and REWIND as they did for the videos they did for U and R.

1. Rick Rubin instead of Don Was.

2. Bill Graham instead of Michael Cohl.

3. No solo albums - so many potentially great Stones songs gone to waste.

Bill not quitting AND more smiles from him.
Stones visiting Iceland
More political opinions and participations from them. The world needs it.

What would the Stones know about the world we live in
They live inside a protected bubble, its planet Stones, everything is done for them. Why should they care. I find people like McCartney and Bono hypocrites asking us to donate for this and that while they keep their 100's of millions
I respect the Stones for staying out of things they don't know or understand, let em Rock, leave running the world to the ass holes
Plus who knows what they donate in secret

I probably could make 5 or 6 that I think would have made a huge difference but here it goes:

1. Ronnie and keith stopped smoking when Jagger did (or never started at all) so they could still do those backing vocals (especially keith) that really made those songs and live performances great.

2. I wish that they didn't chase music trends after 1982 and rather than casing what is popular, released music that they liked and if the fans didn't like it they could put up with it. There were lots of outtakes that could have used polishing that were better than what was released from tattoo you onward.

3. I wish that Mac was hired instead of Chuck, and that someone more suited to the band was hired on bass rather than Daryl. They both seem like nice guys but compared to their predecessors (hopkins, mac, preston, wyman and keith/ronnie) they took a step back for how I like the music.

Stop releasing glossed-over overproduced music, and issue the rough mixes.

Have Mick sing in a lower register to eliminate the annoying nasal tone.

Keith and Ronnie on rhythm guitar weaving and Taylor on lead.

Live, Keith to sing more backup harmonies in the high register (if he still can).

Change the Tweeds for vintage Ampeg stacks.

That they did the missing 83, 85, and 87 tours.

Surprise free Stones gig at my highschool in the early 70s.

More cow bell on Honky Tonk Woman and Dead Flowers.

make another album like Tattoo You

Play another concert in Hong Kong( like 2003)

Mick goes back to dancing like the way he used to in 1982(love the way he danced back then)

Feel The Fear

Allen Klein didn't steal all their 60s material
MT didn't quit
Ronnie joined on bass when Bill quit

And if I could have a fourth: Brian is alive and well these days doin' his own thing...

"I hope you didn't record any of this""No I didn't"

1. Live Aid 1985...Mick, Keith & Ronnie in the same building and they don't play with each other? Keith must have been fuming backstage hearing Mick play Miss You and It's Only Rock N' Roll without him.

2.The long break between the ABB tour and the 50th Anniversary.

3. The terrible album covers...Dirty Work, Steel Wheels, ABB, Voodoo Lounge, Flashpoint, No Security, Forty Licks, Ugg, Sucking In The 70's...etc...they made the Bridges To Babylon cover look genius.

I've never seen a band so successful...with the worst album covers...

I second your fourth

Plus I wish they hadn't been so soured by the whole Klein business that they priced themselves out of being affordable to younger people and missed out on a generation of new fans.

And I wish Keith had left one sentence out of that book.

His Majesty
I would change only this, that Brian Jones would have cared more about the band, others and himself.

From that grows a more direct linked, positive future for the original Rolling Stones.

As a fan originally to the original band, I have got to accede to the point of view in His Majesty's post. How could I not as a fan at that period! Hypothetically then as a fruit of it, be prepared on principle to become exposed to another and possibly quite different development of the band than the actual development. Only for instance, either completely to lose one special song or at least one version of the song as we know it: "Moonlight Mile". But obviously, be met with some alternative wonderful songs that we never have known. However, so much more than these thoughts! Contrafactually thinking, this is.

1. "Save Me" included on Goats Head Soup
2. Black and Blue was a double album
3.

Main, this does not show your best effort. You cannot get full credit until you complete the assignment. Plus, it bothers me.

3. They never played anything live from the Metamorphosis album and they should.

1 Ticket prices!

2 That NO ONE in the band ever did heroin(think about how different things would have been even up to now).

3 That they would currently play some rare songs and take some chances, instead of becoming a nostalgic band that they are now.

The Palais Royal 2002 gig is gorgeous. They should release it as part of the "vaults"-series. I love the Stones when they go back and do some of these very old tunes, like "Heart Of Stone".

1. Stu didn't die.
2. No palm tree.
3. 2016 - Stones enter semi-retirement by taking up residence at Massey Hall, shows every Saturday. (OK, I'll settle for shelving Miss You.)

Stop releasing glossed-over overproduced music, and issue the rough mixes.

Have Mick sing in a lower register to eliminate the annoying nasal tone.

Keith and Ronnie on rhythm guitar weaving and Taylor on lead.

Wow great, i like your style, guitar heaven smoking smiley

I´d rather say guitar hell. You cant have weaving and noodling at the same time. Thank God, Taylor´s out!
