Great guitar weaving on this one (from the 64 TAMI show). Better than El Mocambo?

Nothing beats their 1964 original studio recording!

Whatever that version is from the early 60s where Keith goes bezerk in the uptempo part.

El Mocambo (LYL)

All the versions I have heard are great, including the 50 & Counting version.

When was Around and Around done on the 50 and Counting Tour?

I love the LYL version. A great rollicking punked out version. I also love the original studio version. Like bottled lightning opened under the nose of an English Lord. A flick to the forehead. Lovely.

They played it at the Prudential Centre in Newark.

Ok, fantastic! I wasn't sure. I would like to hear that! Do you have it? Dandy?

IMHO the LYL version of Around and Around has some of the best guitar work I've ever heard in a Stones recording...live or studio. It's firmly ensconced in my all time top 10 list of Rolling Stones recordings. Again...IMHO.

It was great catching it at Newark 1. It appeared on the screen and Mick said something like Ronnie knows it. Something like that.

Not the best, but a good listen.

They're all superb, but my favourite is the radio-rendition, featured on their BBC Radio sessions bootleg: Beat, Beat, Beat, At The Beeb(?)

I didn't know this version, quite good.
El Mocambo is still my favourite cos rock'n'roll is a matter of energy and tension.

1964 original studio version is the best

best live version is Mocambo of course

P.s.
Please Stones play Chuck Berry on the next tour!!!
Nobody plays better Chuck Berry songs including Chuck Berry himself, and for a long time it was a trade mark of The Rolling Stones to play Chuck Berry numbers live!!!

There's no guitar weaving here, this is plain separation of rythm guitar (Brian) and lead guitar (Keith).

I think I was referring to the TAMI clip.

Best part of that clip for me are the two guys around 1:00 going WTF??? to each other.
