Yeah, I didn't think so, but thanks for the reassurance, Olly. I love your puzzles, even if I can never figure them out. I don't really have the attention span to keep digging, probably why I was never very good at math. I admire those who are tenacious enough to keep at it. The first part of the clue, 'A preposition viewed in the mirror' leads to one word, which has the same meaning as the two words in the lyric.

Well he did spell faces with a lower case f, otherwise as cryptic as this game has been I wouldn't exclude things found on members of the Faces like guitars, basses, jewelrey and the like.

I guessing the homophone has got to be "I" or "knows", something you all figured out right away. Frankly, the game has evolved beyond my skill set but I'm enjoying watching the brains at work here.
