Clue:

Brass sounds to a plurality, the opposite of the ground becomes the opposite hue of plant life
Oops! verbal configurations escape; the sentiment akin to disbelief that I'm not elsewhere

What lyric am I?

We heard the trumpets blow
And the sky turned red when I accidentally said
That I didn't know
How I came to be here, not fast asleep in bed

Nice work withsssoul!! thumbs up

STG: I said, Hey McCloud get off of my ewe

Clue: What was McCloud's response? (revealed below in white text)

I'd be hung drawn and quartered for a sheep just as well as a lamb

Camper, you have a dirty mind! I admire that. And...you're also very correct!

Clue:

I knelt to a tonal poet: Brian’s mystic, carnatic drone awakened a noir-hued tomb world

Might be too easy spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore, I want them to turn black

Without 2 k's and "noir-hued," I wouldn't have known where to begin

Nice. The Winter themed-confetti's on its way!

I thought "carnatic" would have given it away

Re: 'Which Lyric Am I?'

Clue:

Homonym for a water source, appreciation aplenty, between the numbers when adding, presently not-you, Rodin's sculpture's activity, at the moment, sounds like more than three, not-they inclusive, "for here"'s opposite;
Homonym for threading, originating subjectively plural through innumerate 2nd-persons, and don't be absent-minded about the Stones;
Additionally, collective possession, an "r" tacked onto the end of vegetables, the first syllable of a normal synonym, perchance a British surname?,

hint: 37 word answer, recorded before anyone in the band was 37

Which 2.5 lines of lyrics am I? (with sssoul, GL or someone should nail it before I return online late tomorrow)

Hmm, don't think I've run across "carnatic" before. Is it more like carney/carnival or carnivore/carnal?

Amazing anagram once again.

Carnatic, I find, is the main style of classical music in southern India.
I've always said being a Rolling Stones fan is highly educational!

As for your latest, winter dear, I'm going with:
My mind has just jumped the track :E

In light of some of the recent clues, please can I ask: is this an anagram of the lyric, or do the references carry meaning? I don't want to recall my knowledge of Auguste Rodin's work if it won't be of any use.

.....

Olly.

Good point, Oily.

Hint 2: no, not an anagram

hint 3: all clues have meaning, several words in the clue might simply be describing a single word in the lyric

It's a little convoluted because I was having fun doing late night bonghits, haha.

Haha, no that's not it with sssoul. The first way I made the clue might have been too easy, so I made it a little more complicated before posting it. I'll add the number of words each clue stands for in a bit.

Re: 'Which Lyric Am I?'

Actually, I'll do that now. Numbers in parentheses are how many words in the lyric each clue stands for.

Clue:

(Line 1): Homonym for a water source (1), appreciation aplenty (4), between the numbers when adding (1), presently not-you (2), Rodin's sculpture's activity (1), at the moment (2), sounds like more than three (1), not-they inclusive (2), "for here"'s opposite (2);

(Line 2): Homonym for threading (1), originating subjectively plural (4) through innumerate 2nd-persons (4), and don't be absent-minded about the Stones (7);

(Line 2.5): Additionally (1), collective possession (1), an "r" tacked onto the end of vegetables (1), the first syllable of a normal synonym (1), perchance a British surname? (1),

Hmmm is this in the ball parK, or at least the right territory:

Do you think that I really care
About a girl who's never there

Good try camper, but too short (and wrong song). 3 of your words do appear in the answer.

Adding the numbers up, it's

Line 1: 16 words
Line 2: 16 words
Line 2.5: 5 words

We are talking something before 1973, right?

Yeah, that was a bad guess. Earlier you did say before Bill was 37 (1972 and earlier)

What's a Stones song with lines that have 16 words in them?

Green Lady, 37 word answer of a song they recorded before anyone in the band was 37.

Okay, I missed camper's post. Then Green Lady is correct, it's pre-1973.

next hints:

-camper has gotten "Rodin's sculpture's activity (1 word)" in line one

-"for here"'s opposite (2 words), when used at a restaurant)

So from all of us to all of you not forgetting the boys in the band
And our producer, Reg Thorpe
