And with 60% allocated in the pre-sale to Banco Brasil Card holders, also for Porto Alegre the Inter allocation, basically that means that International Customers have to rely on the phone line or book VIP tickets ..... looks very doubtful I'll be going. Fingers crossed for Cuba !!

Mexico City-Secondary market
Posted by: chrism13 ()

I am trying to plan another trip to Mexico City ,this time for the Stones shows. I just got back from Dia De Meurtos & the Grand Prix. I did not have tickets to the Grand Prix so I went to the track on Friday to scalp 2 tickets. I was shocked that I could not find 1 person selling an extra ticket. There were no scalpers anywhere. Is this typical of Mexico City. I consider myself an expert at getting seats off the secondary market-not scalpers but folks with extras. Just hoping for some insight as I am concerned about this happening with the Stones. I did try Craigslist for some Grand Prix tix and found some but still was surprised that nobody at the venue was selling any extras or scalping.

Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hope to see you in the DF!

hey chrism13, I headed down to Mexico city from my pueblo last time the Stones were here (2006 ish), without a ticket and hoping to score one.

I asked around everywhere, and had absolutely no luck. Nada. Not even any for some extortionate price.

I just joined the thousands of ticketless fans crowded outside the venue for drinkin and singin!

Thanks, Brian

I'm keeping a few on hold until deciding whether to stay there or with a friend or some combination.
Someone here mentioned two places, one very near the venue, which sold out around the dates of the first show.

How about you, Sarah? Maybe we could all use more input on hotels either close to the venue or in other neighborhoods fairly nearby El Farol and the airport. I gather that downtown is some distance away.

I booked the Grand Prix before the second show was announced so I got a room there for the 16th and 17th.... walking distance from the venue which I really like.
