I dont think there are some hotels really close to the venue, but the Subway is really close to the venue, that can help you.

The third choice would be to stay at downtown, there are many really cheap hotels and hostels there, but is like 30-40 minuts from the venue, you would need to take the subway.
So try to book as soon as possible and it would be nice to meet you the day of the concert!

If you go to the concerts, you will find that a lot of the signs in Latin America are also not in English. You'll also find that the people don't all speak English either. Think of this as practice. I've even heard rumors than in Europe some of the signs in places like Germany and France are not in English either!

I dig the tour name! Maybe cheesy for people living in Latin America but it seems appropriate as an American traveling down there to see the Stones.
I can speak a bit of Spanish but the Ticketek website is a bit overwhelming for me.. I'd be very grateful if one of the locals here could keep us updated on times, prices, etc for ticket sales. Thanks and can't wait for this!! Stones in Buenos Aires? Can't believe this is actually happening!

Yes ! I remember seeing youtube clips of the bus on the way to stadium in BA 2006, with everyone of The Stones band and inner circle, probably in the same bus.
Securitywise it makes sense to do that. Even over-friendly fans can be so overwhelming I guess, that it can be dangerous.

If I look at the stadium map of Urugay here, posted in thei sthread, there are vip section in the very front then another section behind, both dived, and behind that there is one bigger section on the floor.
As I look at he the posted section for Mexico city, it seems to be the same configuration.
( am I right??)
Does this mean that these very front section ( vip-categorys) will be standing or seated?
D0 you think the standing will be only at the back of the field?
Can we assume the same configuration for Buenos Aires?
( I did not thouht that in south america they did this different categories fpr standing on the field, and thought it was general admission)

If I was able to go I would have been tempted by the trip Ben Waters was planning to put together. Guessing people already know about this?
He was planning a group trip to see the stones in Argentina (trip to include a concert by Ben on his birthday).
Sorry if someone's already mentioned this (I've not been able to check in here much recently) but thought someone might be interested in this.
Btw, don't suppose going to see the stones is good enough reason to get out of jury service.... (can't make the earlier shows and then have to do jury service!).
