One listen and I'm down with it. Nothing fancy, nothing slick - nothing they haven't it done before. But, this is quality music. Mick's drawling vocal steals the tune. Hardly even a bass line in the song - just KR following Mick's vocal, with Woody sliding in behind them. Sounds like a b-stager to me.

to me , it's not as good as Down In The Hole .

question of styles - Down in the Hole is a classic Chicago style blues - this one comes straight from the Delta. I like 'em both and the Stones do them both extremely well. No complaints here. OH YEAH. OH YEAH.

back of my hand is well done but extremely simple..just a one chord song, it's a pity...I like it so much when they play blues but not this kind.

Love it...pure and simple...yet no one else can do it quite their way...

They are coming full circle. "Back of My Hand" is VERY Muddy Waters. Like it. Seems the band is really putting Ronnies slide talent to work and he sounds great. His slide playing on Rough Justice is nice and sharp and provides a counter-lick to the main riff. 3 songs in and I am likeing the album more and more.

The band better pray a Mississipi Cotton Mouth Snake don't pop up and bite one of them in the ass during "Back Of My Hand". Hush puppies and catfish for everybody! They are the blackest white guys I ever heard.
