Unfortunately I never got to enjoy that song, although I forced my self to like it when it was released. It is rather boring, full of self-content and cliché to may ears.

One of the better Keith tunes, in my opinion. It has a catchy melody and I'm often humming it to myself before I realize it.

I like the song but the "bare your breasts" is cringe time. Like every word of Neocon.

I echo the feeling in regard to the line, but as I looked at the back pages, it inspired some of the funniest comments here...grinning smiley

But probably that line is all there is to recall from that tune. The rest of it belongs to typical A BIGGER BANG material I most recall making me not really looking forward to any new Rolling Stones album of originals for years to come. When there is no inspiration, there is no inspiration. Just the routine craft left. Seemingly they have thought similarly.

Why is 'bare your breasts' so cringeworthy? I only know it as a standard English expression for opening up to someone, show emotions and vulnerability. It has nothing to do with sex or tits or whatever and fits perfectly with the song.

If it were such a standard thing to say, it wouldn't stick out that way. It clearly induces all sorts of weird associations in listeners and seems impossible to get over when you assess the song

To me it's like the "what's with the straw lying there" comes across as contrived, but to what end?

Isn't that «bare your chest»? I'm not totally sure, but it was in the back of my mind smiling smiley

Isn't it the plural form that kills the metaphoric idiom?

Or what do the people speaking English properly think?

yeah, the plural takes it another place.

Still consider this the best thing on Bigger Bang, and on par with the best Stones songs

Apparently, it is 'bare your breast', singular.

But even then, what is so cringeworthy?

I checked, it's both (chest and breast). Nothing cringeworthy, just good ol' Keith-humour, when he makes it plural smiling smiley

In my opinion Infamy from A Bigger Bang is Keith's poorest effort. This Place Is Empty is just okay. Nice melody but it's nothing great.

Infamy - horrible. The last days of "Cocaine-Keith". "This is a masterpiece!" Live, the whole band was lost...Who wouldn´t be? Verse? Chorus?

The production can not rise to the challenge.

Come on in, bare your breasts and make me feel at home

Singing this line in the subway will get you in trouble LOL.
Seriously, I wish Mick or someone had fixed this before release - even something like "bare your soul" would have worked!

Agreed...those looking for a metaphor are those looking for an excuse.

I never saw any problem with it. Hell it's 17 years ago. I like to think that a 63yo is still getting it on, and if Keef's looking for his woman to show him a lil sumthin to have him change his mind and stay in, well what the heck is wrong with that? I thought it was endearing.

Not to mention ... Who is singing that on a subway? Were people ever singing "I can see you got a friend, she's wilder than you ... why don't you bring her upstairs..." on a subway?

C'mon guys, no politics. I could go on and on about what just happened in Nashville, but I won't.
