I'm so excited I cant hardly speak. I'm sitting here waiting for the Fonda show and I want to talk about Stones music. What better place than IORR. What better topic than anything MT to stir the pot. Please no arguing MT was/is great. We know that. Just tell us your three favorite Taylor songs while playing with the Stones. Please site the performance.

Winter (GHS)

Cant You Hear Me Knocking (SF)

Gimme Shelter (Brussels Affair Definite Edition)

Only three? Ah well - the studio version of Sway, Love In Vain from the unreleased '72 live album, and You Can't Always Get What You Want from Wembley on the '73 tour (September 9th, I think - I forget which show it is but we've discussed it a number of times here, y'all know the one I mean.)

I Got The Blues is a shaky one, because we're not 100% sure if Taylor is playing on it, even though it seems so.

I'm not looking at liner notes. Is MT credited on IGTB?

That is not Mick Taylor playing the intro, it's Keith. I repeat:That is not Mick Taylor playing the intro,it's Keith. I repeat: That is not Mick Taylor playing the intro, it's Keith.. There, I said it.

To me and to Dandie too. At least he plays this part on the Marquee gig, in a somewhat different way of course.

i find an odd definition of mick taylor songs on this thread ... some songs named are just songs he plays on, and some are songs that he claims to have had a part in writing... mixing the two together is a little strange... is "gimme shelter" a "mick taylor song"? is "100 years ago" one of the 3 favorite songs for some IORRians from the entire "golden age"?
