It does seem that the idea of announcement today was speculative... NME says 'a special announcement is expected to be made' but doesn't seem to go back to the Stones at all.

Pretty disappointing, not just the snail paced format, but the lack of decent questions. Who would have guessed that Charlie's irritated answers would be the most entertaining part of the whole deal? That last photo with Keith with the Uke was pretty cool though....
