The NME article says a "special announcement is also expected to me made to on the night," whatever that means. I took it to be a typo, meaning "tonight." So perhaps the twitterfest is not connected to the supposed 'announcement.'

More stringing us along tactics. Wish they would do something interesting like Macca (getting onstage with amateur band) or U2 (playing in NYC subway). Not to mention these bands set list. My fandom is slipping big time, not everything they do is golden. Matter of fact I don't mind missing the tour.

I'm on Periscope and they haven't posted anything. Basically, you have to be on when they are. Could be a way to announce the ticketing in a private place like that, but who knows when the announcement would come. Luck of the draw. Will probably only be good for a few minute head start to wherever you'd need to be.
