IORR by The Who

It seems the Who covered this song June 14, 2014. Has anyone seen or can post an audio or video link of this performance? Just interested in hearing how it sounded.

Wow I would love to hear this. This is the first I have heard of this show. Good
To hear there is no "bad blood" with Kenny too. Zach fits better with the band but I enjoyed Kenny's era as well.

IORR is not really part of the Who's Set. It's the all group finale.

Kenney on drums again on IORR, just like the record. From 18:13 onwards:

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

What was the occasion? Who are all the people on stage?

Mick Hucknall is very good of imitating other singers. Really good, right down to the accent.

Thanks for posting. Wow, what a clusterf*ck. Too bad, I was hoping it would be a quality one off take of the Who's version of the classic hit. And yes, it wasn't lost on me that Kenny reprised his original role here. A bit of fun I suppose, It was cool to see Pete dancing about and getting into the backing vocal. I didn't recognize any of the "lead" vocalists. It sounds like they played it in key of E like the original as opposed to B as the Stones have live since the beginning. Which begs another question for another thread another day...

Looks like a good sized crowd.

The occasion was "Rock 'N Horsepower", an event to raise money and awareness in aid of prostate cancer. It was organized by Kenney Jones, who himself, unfortunately, got the diagnosis himself last year.

The line-up for the day:

Kenney Jones (from The Small Faces, The Faces & The Who)
Roger Daltrey (The Who)
Pete Townshend (The Who)
Mike Rutherford (from Genesis & Mike and the Mechanics)
Jeff Beck (The Yardbirds, Jeff Beck Group and many more)
Josh Phillips (from Procol Harum)
John Lodge (from Moody Blues)
Fabbagirls
Gary Brooker (Procol Harum)
Dave Bronze (from Procol Harum)
Jim Cregan (Rod Stewart)
Geoff Dunn (from Procul Harum)
John Thirkell (from Jamiroquai, Tina Turner, David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys & George Michael)
John Parr (singer/songwriter – St. Elmo’s Fire)
Rick Wills (from Foreigner
Alvin Stardust
Jamie Johnson (BBC’s The Voice 2014)
Mollie Marriott
Damon Hill
Nik Kershaw
Hosted by Vic Reeves

There is another event planned for this year, which includes Bill Wyman in the line-up. Information here: [www.hurtwoodparkpolo.co.uk]

When this was first brought up, it made me think, imo, Daltrey's vocals would be very proper for the song.

.

The Who copied 2 Stones songs in 1967 when the Stones were arrested and they were two of the biggest butcher jobs I have ever heard. They should have lost the right to even do Stones songs again.
