I doubt they're gonna play Doom & Gloom again.
I doubt it also but,it would be VERY sad to have no songs from the past 10 years in the set list.
They should include either "One More Shot" / "I Ain't Signifying" / "It Won't Take Long" / "She Saw Me Coming" / or "Laugh,I Nearly Died" ..... or all of them at least in rotation with each other. Or they could keep "Doom and Gloom" in there.
There IS room for 1 recent song, even with extra 'Sticky Fingers' album tracks.

Maybe "Let it Rock" this time out ??
I heard a rumor on here a while back that there is some kind of problem now preventing them from performing the Chuck Berry songs live in concert. I can't remember what it was .... royalties, contractual problem, personal dispute with Chuck Berry or his camp. I am not sure. I think that they brought LQ back at the 2013 warm-up show, though, for the 1st time since 1998.

I am taking my dad who hasn't seen them since 2002. Our only hope is that they play a Chuck Berry tune. That's it. Neither of us have ever heard them do one live. He's seen them 4 times, I've seen them 15 times since 97.
I was lucky enough to be in attendance when they played "Sway" in Glasgow a few years back.... what happens? Hundreds flooding out to the bars etc because it "wasn't known".. That I feel is why he avoids these slower/rare songs. Whether we like it or not the vast majority of the crowd are there to see the cicrcus, hits only... keep the tempo up keep them entertained. I'm sure he's stated this in interviews before regarding playing "Memory Motel"Quote

Talking about Sway and hearing Mick on the Marc Maron podcast has got me wondering....what does Jagger have against slow songs? Does he think that people in the audience can't/don't appreciate them because they are not dancing or on their feet? Does he think that they don't belong in a large venue live concert setting? Does a fast tempo song reach the fan in the back row of a stadium any more effectively than slow tempo one?
I think his performance has become too dependent on uptempo stuff that he can run around the stage in sync with and has forgotten that as music appreciators we love a well sung, well played slow song too. I would never criticize a Stones show if they played a few more of them, all of them on Sticky Fingers, if done well would be a treat in any setting.
Perhaps it is a visual thing and he feels it's easier to provide some visual cues and entertaining moves to the folks in the nosebleed seats with up tempo numbers. Maybe he needs the faster songs to keep his own energy level high in a show and maybe he just feels he can't entertain as well with just his voice. But I cringe to think how many great Stones tunes we've never heard live because Mick decided they weren't up tempo enough for the show.
My attraction to the Stones is purely musical anyway, not particularly drawn to them because of Mick's dancing, any show/stage related props or similar offerings. The best music, imo, was when both Taylor and Wyman (and even Keith to a lesser extent) were standing still as statues, concentrating on the music and letting it speak for itself. Slow songs can speak for themselves and I welcome a few more of them this time out.

I believed they played Around and Around in Brooklyn at Barclay's in 2012.Can't remember who guested on it.
The Rolling Stones, like any artist, are free to perform whatever cover song they wish in concert. There's no royalties involved to the original writer, no contracts.Quote
