Most of the shows are listed on AXS so who is really handling the sales? Maybe the delay was related to switching over to TM?

I almost certainly can't make these shows, and haven't had much chance to check out IORR recently. But....

...just saw an email from AEG in my inbox announcing the tour. And even although I probably won't be going, I still felt the excitement! Stones on tour! hot smileyhot smiley

Ticketmaster has 7 of the 15 shows listed.
Will TM have the rest or is there another outlet?

Ticketmaster has 7 shows listed and AXS has 14 listed
It appears as though both sites will be offering tix to some of the same shows (?). Seems odd... is this a common practice?

About the stage :

And quite the stage it will be, including a section that juts far into the crowd, allowing the Stones to interact with fans. As is the band's practice, the stage design will employ cutting-edge technology to enhance the performance, including video screens and special effects.

What do you think it will be ?

I can't imagine it being too different from the 2014/Euro/Aus/Nz stage ? It sounds impressive but looking at the Indianapolis seating chart, the "section that juts far into the crowd" looks what they first used at HP in 2013.

I don't see an AMEX (or any) pre-sale on the AXS website, but I do see pre-sale for the 7 shows on TM.

Only for Indianapolis : [www.iorr.org] and there is the small map (consistent with the Indianapolis setup VIP/GOLD/SILVER/BRONZE) I posted on the first page :

They definitely are still a stadium band. Saw them at Stade de France in Paris last year with about 75,000 other screaming fans. (this pic is a screen grab from a video from that show)

An amazing show, an amazing crowd, an amazing band.

Do not miss this tour!

So we can do the presale thru ticket master using American Express, correct? Will someone be awesome enough to reply to a couple questions: Is it necessary to get a ticket master account? What is the American Express code #?

Thank you brothers and sisters!!

Detroit is Tickets.com. The same outfit the Tigers use.

A pretty detailed write-up on RS : [www.rollingstone.com]

In the "In the time since the group's last concert" paragraph" they mention Bobby Keys but not Taylor (would have been surprised if they had...) and have a Charlie quote I hadn't seen before about Mick's guitar playing :

Quote

drummer Charlie Watts once claimed its distinct sound came from Jagger's unique interest in playing guitar at the time. "He plays very strange rhythm guitar...very much how Brazilian guitarists play, on the upbeat," he said. "It is very much like the guitar on a James Brown track – for a drummer, it's great to play with."

Where do you see the VIP price? Is it $350?

So is there any word at all about the potential May 27th date?

I'm really hoping to plan around that show and the opener in San Diego but it means cancelling another trip I already had booked and incurring costs, so I'm really holding out on something for the 27th. And hoping for it to be Seattle!

Your point is what? Any name that's picked, some people will like it some will think it's stupid. That's the way humans are since we all have our own brains. I guess your point is that nobody should ever say they don't like anything . . . that is bitching and criticism . . . people should only post about the things they like. No discussion, no debate. Why?

I think it's a dumb name on first blush, but maybe the Zip has to do with the zipper on the cover of Sticky Fingers, in addition to being a satire on them playing relatively obscure venues? Maybe it's not so dumb? The thing that's dumb to me is the idea that if you are a fan you have to like everything the band does.
