at a gig called the Ally Pally All-Night Rave, on June 26th 1964. It's my favourite photo of Brian too.

I know I should have, when posting the picture... but (a) I wasn't aware of the photographer's name and (b) was too lazy to Google it.

It pretty amazing how a guy who has been dead for almost 50 years has had such a huge impact on my and I'm sure countless others lives. There are so many things that cross my mind I don't know where to start. First off I would have to start with gratuity, because without Brian I would not be typing this right now as there would be no Rolling Stones.

The "Brian" years are still my favorite years to listen to. Although I sometimes go a decade or more without having those musical years as my focus, when I do come back to them as I am right now I find them as the most interesting.

Long live the memory of Brian "Elmo Lewis" Jones!!!

sarcasm of the day dude. nice photo though.

Brian put the advert in about getting a band together, so it was his band in my eyes.

No one will ever know ,apart from Brian ,Keith and Mick..................and probably to a lesser extent, Charlie and Bill ,the whole story of those very early years.

All us fans can do is believe ,or not believe, what we hear about these early days, and of course the Mick Taylor years in the band, after Brian had passed away.

The Stones are the only ones who know the real truth.

None of our business really, but you always wonder.

Happy Birthday Brian, and so sad you are not with us,in this life,but hopefully somewhere else, on your 73rd Birthday.
