Mick Jagger is an incredible singer and artist. He is a hard working true original and his art is unparalleled. There are great vocal perfomances on every record and at every show, so I really can`t choose one, five or ten of his best. There are numerous prescious moments in the Rolling Stones catalogue. The man will surprise you and move you on any given gig.
Wild Horses from the Adelaide Oval Show, October 25th 2014 is a treat:

Okay, you're probably right, I doubt he ever made a dime. Fail!

Let it Loose, Period.

He's been really good on some of the recent versions of Wild Horses as well.

A couple of early performances that I think today are still among of his best:

Wow that was a great vocal version of BS! I'm more than a bit suspicious of the musical performance though. confused smiley Sounds like the recorded version, shakers, horn solo, fills. No way they could have duplicated all those things so perfectly. I'm guessing this was Mick singing over the recorded backing tracks.

peace

Here's one of my proofs of Mick's top notch vocals (and similarly why the Stones are such an amazing band) ...

Sympathy For the Devil, by Guns 'n Roses:

There's no arguing that Guns could play their asses off, and some consider Axl one of the best vocalists in rock ... yet somehow they can't replicate the amazing Stones original version, most notably Mick's vocals throughout the song.

Lots of ballads on this list; as it should be. Also performances like "Sympathy for the Devil", and "Saint of Me" are tops IMO. "Gimme Shelter" of course.
I love his sin ging in "T umbling Dice", "Hand of Fate" and esp. "Memory Motel".
"Sweet Thing" anf "God Gave Me Everything".

I don't think it's THAT bad myself, although it might be the single song where fans loudly have bashed Mick's vocals ever.

There was a nice period there in the mid 60s where Mick was kicking out those kind of vocals on ballads, this-as well as things like Out of Time and I'm Free. I don't know if it's considered great vocally or not, but I really dig that sound that kind of went away after 67 or so.

If you like singers with long hair and balls, Iggy Pop and John Garcia are better than Axl Rose, imo.

As a "recent" effort, Miracle Worker is pretty damn good. Right key, great energy, he lets it really rip.

I wonder why Joss Stone didn't guest on Gimmie Shelter during the last outing where they had those other female guest performers? She could have tore it up with Mick.

Its a live vocal over a backing track...... If you look closely at Charlies drums they've got cardboard taped to the skins!........

Best top of the pops performance ever!
