Well, they also did Satisfaction in their sleep, so maybe they're on to something?

There was the time Keith woke up on stage to the sound of his own feedback...Fool To Cry was it?

I recall reading that he said he recalls falling asleep during Fool To Cry. I dunno dunno dunno, ah, here we go, ahhh, if he woke up to feedback.

I never believed that story. Keith has the opportunity to really ice the cake on that song with killer wah wah licks, I think the song is great. Possibly he nodded out, they did play it a lot in 1976 when he was deep in the arms of Morpheus. Anybody know which show he was referring to? (...)

I didn't need new ears for this - loved from the moment I first played it and still play it often..............I put this and most of the Exile bonus disc on one CDr and put it on shuffle........very worth it.

I thought the extra CD to Some Girls were really boring and has not listened to it since it came out ... can it really all of a sudden have become interesting?

You sure you're not mistaking it for the Exile Deluxe?

Yeah quite, the Exile outtake-CD is much better with that brilliant 'Following the river'-track...

i liked the Some Girls outtakes disc from my first listening onwards a lot; overall for me it is even better than the Exile one. In my mind the quality of the songs would have made it possible to stand on their own as a proper album, but given the circumstances you can´t sell songs from the late seventies as your "new" album 2011, almost 40 years later.
My absolute favourite: I love you too much! Great rocker!

Everything's Turning To Gold would have made a great opener for Some Girls Deluxe.
The take of We Had It All differs from the bootlegversion which was around for ages and it has been discused here before that the bootlegversion is even a better vocal take by Keith.

"Keep up blues" is a killer song, the old dirty Stones sound..................
"Everything is turning" should have been included, as well as "think i'm going mad"
"You win again" is much better with Keith's vocals around, in front or backing Jagger's

Opener or not, at least it should have been included. If their aim was to avoid the inclusion of already released material, they could have used a different mix/longer version, like they did with So Young (which is different to the Love Is Strong b-side version). Everything Is Turning To Gold is simply belonging to the Some Girls canon and as such, the SG bonus disc would have been a perfect home for this song, rescuing it from the fate of being buried on out of print compilations (and I don't count shitty mp3 download availability as being "in print").
