Has this been posted before? I did a search and didn't see anything. IORR.ORG is even credited from the poster.

Interesting. Tumbling Dice is so much more loose at rehearsal! Can hear Chuck telling Jagger how Silver Train goes!

Clearly Chuck is in charge of how the Stones perform these days... eye popping smileyspinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I only wish we could hear the whole band. Sounds like Mick's in-ears I think! Very fun to hear! I'd love to listen to every rehearsal set.

Yep, makes for interesting listening and makes it clear Chuck is the only one who recalls what those songs they wrote were like ...
Priceless commentary when Jagger forgets the Silver Train song.
Anyway, it also shows the band is doing quite well.
I remember hearing the 2006 Tokyo rehearsals. They were definitely less good, musically speaking.

Good observation. It might be someone's monitor mix. The guitars are certainly down low, but in a rehearsal space they are probably loud enough from the amps so it could just be a mix board stereo bus signal, same signal that goes to the PA speakers. If you mix loud guitars higher they tend to dominate the overall sound.

The best recording of this would probably be from a pair of condenser mics placed somewhere near the guy at the mixing desk.

peace

It is strange to think that if Chuck, for whatever reason was unable to play with them, the stones would have a problem. Leavell is the one in charge which is funny because he didn't write the songs but he remembers them better than Mick and Keith.
Rock and roll,

they put 'em all on Chuck's laptop and if there's a question he pulls it up and off they go!

"Sorry about that" (Mick, when he missed his cue on ST).

Chuck is really calling the shots here, although this most likely is Mick's in-ear monitor mix we're hearing. It's also a peak into how important Darryl is for Mick.

Mick is asking Chuck whether they should do it again. Very interesting.

But Chuck fvcked it up on take #2 of ST grinning smiley

Did anyone notice how Mick's singing changed completely for Doom And Gloom? All the other songs he's just going through the rehearsal motions - kind of singing, sometimes talk-singing... but for Doom And Gloom he gets into it.

More so, that is.
