yeah, that Sumlin disk sure is mighty mighty fine too!
(i didn't mention it only because it was recorded way way back in 2000, and i was thinking about Keith's most recent work.)

Yeah! Keith with Nora on Love Hurts and his opening verses of Wild Horses at the Gram tribute are down right country-soul tear-jerkers. And dont forget Keith on the Hank Williams Tribute CD - Timeless where he takes You Win Again from a standing start to a full on Stax style workout.

Well he said he's doing heroin, that was in 1998, and when he quitin 1980 he said he was taking a pause. That he could get back on it. Maybe he's old enough to handle it. Rich enough of course. I don't think he's on it now but I'm pretty sure he still dabbles with it off the road. His life is on the road, restless at home, alive only onstage.

<Well he said he's doing heroin, that was in 1998>

Keith says many things smiling smiley

Remember, he has a image to uphold. I wouldn't take that too seriously.

Keith is a cool guy. He does what he wants and I don't think he bothers spending time thinking about how people are going to perceive him. He is a free spirit who likes to have a good time. He can afford to no to bother. A parody of himself can be said of everybody who gets old and keep doing and being what they have always being.
Keith Richards is Mr Rock and Roll!!!

What on earth are you expecting: an eternal guitar god which shouldn't change and just be like you want him to be. Sorry didn't all of us change as well.
Take him as he is or leave it and give me your front row tickets.....

Oh that's no contest! But I'd probably think he's real cool if I ever meet him. And shiver like a leaf in front of him. Because he's Keith Richards.

that "poor guy" at Hampton -
smile, i always wonder if he's has any Life Achievements other than that, or is it the crowning glory of his cv: "1981: clocked by Keith Richards"

in the Ask Keith section of his site Keith mentions that he bailed the kid out of jail right after the show, "and he still owes me $200." :E

There's a disconcerting bitterness about Aucoin's & others comments which makes me wonder if they are just disillusioned baby-boomers who just resent the fact that they are getting old and can't act like a juvenile anymore. Keith still gets away with it, but most of us love him for it. More cases of bitter-old-fart syndrome (BOFS)? Is this becoming an epidemic?

Well maybe youre right. I was born in the 70s and that era is of course magical. I was there but I missed it. And now I want to live like Keith but can't afford it and noone gives a damn anyway. I gotta get me som leatherpants and smack. OK, I 'll skip the smack but maybe a pack of Marlboro lights? I'll be on the balcony pretending it's LA between rehearsals for TOTA.

i feel like im in the twilight zone reading this stuff...You guys are nuts....the worst thing Keith has ever done is let someone charge money to surf his or the rolling stones web-sites...he loses a couple of points of coolness there, thing is he has soo many points he can lose a couple now and then...
