Tom WAITS; that's the only one remaining.
The rest (Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, ... etc.) I've managed to see.

Not taken into account the ones that you'd never (again) be able to see for obvious reasons, off course - the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, the REAL Who, ... - for there is no perfect world (especially not when the Stones are not on stage. smoking smiley )

Thanks - you all make me feel very fortunate to be old!
I've seen almost everyone I'd ever want to see in my career but missed a couple.

Derek and The Dominos
The original Allman Bros Band with Duane Allman
Frank Zappa
James Brown

Never saw The Beatles or Led Zep but I don't care.

I saw a few of the acts mentioned in this thread as opening acts for the Stones.

Now if we had a "I wish I could have seen" thread, I would also have mentioned James Brown, along with the Stax Revue with Otis Redding and Sam and Dave.

I've seen just about everyone I've wanted to see except Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac and Zeppelin. ( saw Plant a few times and caught the Plant/Page Tour). Regret not seeing the Beatles and kinda wish I'd seen the Doors.

Not sure I have one (I've seen so many I HAD to see), but a few I missed when I had the chance are:

Buck Owens
Billy Preston
Jerry Lee Lewis & James Brown (House of Blues Sunset)
Dolly (House of Blues Sunset)
Ray Brown Trio
Odetta (a breakfast show on a Tuesday...yeah, weird)
Aretha (I doubt I'll pay what it takes to see her)
Television
Garth Hudson
The Vibrators (found out 2 days late...just last month too)
Simple Minds
A-Ha
Midnight Oil

I don't think Aretha's that expensive, even on the secondary market, at least when I had a chance to go this past summer. Maybe it depends on the venue.

I'm annoyed that the double bill of Dave Chappelle with Nas performing all of the Illmatic album never went beyond Radio City Music Hall in June. I'd have loved to have seen those two back-to-back.

Again assuming these are bands/people who are still out there performing, I'd say Kill It Kid are top of my current list. Otherwise, I've been very fortunate to see those I've really wanted to see. (Plenty of bands/people I didn't see in the past, of course, and never can now, starting with the fact I was deemed too young to see the Beatles until they were no longer doing live UK shows.)

David Bowie for sure.

I've seen Aretha for less than $25 in the last few years, she just do that many shows...

I've seen most of the bands I wanted to see. I regret not seeing Talking Heads, Warren Zevon and The White Stripes (though Jack White still plays most of those songs so that's not as big a regret). From Mongoose's original list I recommend Fogerty, Prince and Green Day. Green Day absorbed the Ticketmaster fee and I paid $25 per ticket and took both my kids. That's caring about your fans. They also had two dozen punky/poppy tunes

Of those still, more or less, active:

Al Green

Miranda Lambert

George Strait (based on his autotune sponsored new live album, he's vocally not that good anymore)

Jimmy Page

David Gilmour

I've never seen them, and I became much more interested on their music very recently. Of all the artists I didn't see it live yet, he's on the top of my list. With or without the Bad Seeds. smiling smiley
