With perfect sound quality all of a sudden it doesnt seem like such a bad performance.

... but it drags. I like uptempo perfs better.
That show isn't bad but if you have knowledge of the 75 tour you immediately realize sth was missng that night. And that "thing" is Keith.

Yeah its definitely not the best performance, no doubt about that. I disagree about Keith though but im only judging it on the official clips ive seen. Not got the dvd yet.

here we are the day is here that i can go to best buy after work today and get my copy. i cant wait !

The sound and picture quality certainly makes it better, but I still think it lacks energy and tightness. Too bad they didn't film (or use) one of the other shows.

Ok. I just received my 2CD 1 DVD copy. I like the design and everything. And DVD and CD are two different shows. And do i get it right: the 2CD "LA Forum" is the same as the download show "LA FRIDAY"???

just a small regret about the sound on Happy. to me, it's better on the boot and also on Jointrip DVD version.
Here, on the new release, it seems to me that there is too much reverb or resonance and Ron Wood is lower in the mix.
Unfortunatly JJF is not complete like on Jointrip version.

I Wonder if the audio track comes from Millard tapes ?

That's very unlikely as the MM recording of the July 11 show is "flawed" : the mix is unbalanced, Ron is very high and Keith very low.
For the next night gig it's the opposite : Keith really dominates the mix.

My humble guess is that for the July 11 show Millard was in front of Ronnie. he swicthed positions for the July 12 (he relocated on Keith's side).
For the final L.A. night he got the "sweeet spot" as his tape is nicely balanced.

I can't believe anyone is seriously entertaining the idea that the audio on the DVD is taken from an audience recorded tape.

I was just asking a question, there was no claiming.
I just think that the sound on Happy is not as good as the boot and the Jointrip DVD version.

I mean no photos of a concerts clip but photos from a release - a box with DVD and, if exists, booklet with informations about this concert.

I have not watched either carefully since getting this DVD this morning.

According to Amazon, my shipment is guaranteed to arrive by 8:00pm this evening. But, when I click on the tracker it says it hasn't shipped yet and they will send me an email when it does. 8:00 is 4 1/2 hours from now, something tells me it ain't gonna make it. Anybody else have a similar experience?

This happened to me with the Hampton dvd. Received the blue ray on the Sunday and the normal DVD on the Tuesday, both should have arrived on the Monday.

Just played a few songs and it blows you away.

Loved Hampton 81 but I feel this is going to over take it.

We are so privileged to have the DVDs, Christmas comes early for us.

Can't wait to get this!

Just buy the thing.

I'm enjoying it, but wondering what will be next. The CDs sound fantastic, and are better than the CDRs I ripped a couple of years' back, when it was released on Stones Archive.
