I can think of hearing the opening lines of "Lonesome Day Blues" the first time and thinking that he unknowingly captured the essence of 9/11.

even more so on 'Honest with Me'. The imagery in some of the lines is downright eerie

'Well, I'm stranded in the city that never sleeps'

'I'm avoidin' the south side, the best I can'

'The Siamese twins are comin' to town'

all sheer coincidence – nothing more

LOL! Really? You think?

The Dylan Hours radio show [www.885fm.org] is currently doing a "Love and Theft" themed show. They just played three versions of "Mississipi"

of course. Even Dylan uses plenty of cliches in his songs as well as nursery rhymes (not as bad as 'sharks will cry' but still nursery rhymes). And a lot of blues phrases, references to the bible, american history etc. plus obvious nonsense ('Honest With Me' features some good examples… ('base ball in the air' / 'hunting bear').
'The city that never sleeps' – is there other cliches about NYC that is so popluar and to be found everywhere? (and by the way: The NY south side is not the place where the Twin Towers used to be).

Those three versions of Mississippi are TOOM outtakes (and are to be found on Bootleg Series vol. 8)

Bob Dylan's whole 'Infidels' album features that band. They are also on disc 3+4 of Bob Dylan's latest Bootleg Series release ('Spingtime in NY')

There's at least 90 minutes of footage shot by the Maysles brothers during the recording of Infidels. It would be great if that video could be released someday.

Damn, that "Don't Fall Apart" is a great song. Somehow I haven't grasped that before, but it really is Bob at his best (especially vocally) . Had INFIDELS included "Blind Willie McTell" it would have been a classic Dylan album, one of his best. I mean, some outstanding songs already there - "Jokerman", "Sweetheart Like You", "Licence To Kill", "I and I"...

And yeah, what a band. And what a cool atmoshere on that video - never seen Mick Taylor so relaxed and even smiling... (great moment that of him having an eye contact with Bob).

I'd rather guess he will be touring Japan or the US west coast before he goes to Europe since playing different countries with different Covid rules might be a bit complicated.

I think Nils was refering to his voice’s age.

Yes changes with a stones connection!!

Charley Drayton Is Bob Dylan’s New Drummer is being reported in the usa, he played drums and bass on Keef's Exp winos, also think he is on Dirty work as well.

He played bass for dylan as well back in the 90's

Any one know who else is in the band?

Tour kicks off Tonight looking forward to the Setlist and Bob's new Recruits!

without any doubt the most interesting kick off of a Dylan tour in decades
1. He didn't perform a concert for nearly two years – the longest gap in touring since 1981-1984(!)
2. According to rumors his band is partly changed (Charlie Sexton leaving and Charly Drayton being the new drummer)
3. None of the songs from Rough and Rowdy Ways has been performed yet

Nobody knows what's gonna happen. Will be continue where he stopped two years ago? Will he kept the same structure of the setlist and just replace a few old songs by some new songs? Will he chance everything? Will there be new arrangements of old songs? Will he do his show in 'Shadow Kingdom' style? Will he add a small 'Shadow Kingdom' set (like he used to do an acoustic set many years ago)? Will be play piano or guitar or both or nothing? etc. etc. etc.?
