Finally! Heartbreaker!!! I hope, they rehearsed it well enough. I sometimes have the feeling they don't invest enought time into getting comfortable with the "rare" songs, so that they don't sound really tight or even very rough.

Just My Imaginashun.

I voted before thinking about Taylor being on Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo though.

That won't happen but would be great.

would they play HB without Taylor?

I think at the last couple rehearsals before Oslo he played on the run thrus. I remember one of the IORRs there commenting on his guitar sounding much like the 1973 versions.

I like "Let's Spend the Night Together" most of all the nominated songs, no equals. A favourite of mine since its release. But I had to go for "Heartbreaker" as probably not so often played song. I felt almost under an obligation to vote that way. (The song is included in my old double vinyl boot NASTY SONGS from Brussels '73.) It nagged me somewhat not to choose my preferred song, though. So I hope that I will be compensated by Mick Taylor playing on "Heartbreaker" and that song to win.

don't waste your time voting lstnt has already won......a shame they ruined this......I'm grateful that at least the first newark show in 2012 wasn't rigged, but it probably has been ever since.......I'm sure whatever they play will be great (it always is).....but to keep up this voting farce is ridiculous (I'll never forget hearing the groan from the crowd in vegas when beast of burden was announced the winner over moonlight mile and sway)

I really don't think Silver Train was rigged...

it was....I believe it won the show before but they weren't ready to play it yet.....that's why they sound checked it twice before they show...even though voting was supposedly still open......I really don't care if they rig it.....I'm just saying it is....look at the last boston show....the vote shows up at 3 in the afternoon day of show.....you can't tell me that memory motel was already the choice....I was there and it was fantastic.....no complaints.....just saying its rigged

Yeah, today's rehearsals kind of show a pretty definite setlist. At least for those hoping for more MT, more rarities or Heartbreaker, we have expectations properly lowered early.

I made a thread with poll on the Telecaster forum. I guess they could sub as the casual Stones concert goer. 47 voters came up with this:

Get Off Of My Cloud 10 21.28%
When the Whip Comes Down 8 17.02%
Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker) 9 19.15%
Live with Me 8 17.02%
Just my Imagination 3 6.38%
Let's Spend the Night Together 9 19.15%

hmmm

I would rather see them put up five songs they have NEVER played before for fans to vote on.

These have all been hashed out before.

Taylor plays pretty much during the rehearsals, but during the show it will be the same as before. Realistic view, Stonescat.

like I said, nice and noisy.

I love it, my favourite song off Some Girls and agree it's nice and noisy live.

But I just can't get over what Chuck does anymore:

Makes it sounds like an upbeat hillbilly anthem or something.

Yes, the MSG whip from 2002 is a favourite. Heartbreaker sounds good in theory but I'm not that sure they will deliver on stage. But since most iorr-fans would like to hear it: Why not?

Re: Fan vote - Oslo

They need to speed up LSTNT a bit, imo.

Maybe Chuck could re-programme the metronome to the Still Life-tempo?

Re: Fan vote - Oslo
Date: May 25, 2014 16:31

It seems as though they don't like playing the songs from the 'Some Girls' album in Norway for some reason.

Only "Before They Make Me Run" maybe one time and of course "Miss You" but ..... have any other songs from that album ever been played in Norway ????

I saw a pic with a metronome. Depressing. The Rolling Stones let the metronome decide the tempo of their songs. It should be their own musical feeling. But we can miss a LSTNT as on SL like toothache.

What's wrong with that version? Keith at his very best.
