Indian Girl is their WORST

Dreamer - The warhorses have been played to death but those are fantastic songs that are in my DNA. Would love more rarities but how can some of the best rock songs ever written and performed be left out of the Stones top 25 songs?? That is just ridiculous. When the Stones do stop we will all bitch and complain that we no longer go and see them play Satisfaction. I relish Satisfaction when I am at a show it can always be the last time that the timeless song that made the Rolling Stones mega rock stars will ever be played. Do I wish the band would play less "warhorses" when I go to a show? Yes. But I don't want to go to a show where they play none of them. Whatever we think of Start Me Up it always gets the crowd fired up. As soon as Keith hits those apparently simple little notes the crowd is on their feet jumping, dancing and yelling. When Keith can no longer do this we will be robbed of a real important part of our lives and yearn to be young again. That is how those so called warhorses make me feel.

For just one second. Imagine that to be the exact setlist in Berlin.... Open like they did in Paris76 and close like they opened in 82... I would love that. Of course it lacks Midnight Rambler and Bitch.

Wrong. Again. As usual. How anyone can think that is their worst is clearly clueless and deaf.

...or are they damn near close to being right? I'll give you that "Sexdrive" is worse but "Indian Girl" is so lyrically clumsy and aurally jarring (Mariachi horns?!) that I'll happily take "Streets Of Love" or any of the snoozefests-masquerading-as-new-songs on 40 Licks over it. Those five songs are absolutely abysmal but this one's probably in the top 3 worst-ever Stones songs as I'm having trouble thinking of *any* song other than "Sexdrive" that's more embarrassing. Oh! Thought of one, "Blinded By Rainbows." So terrible.

Seems impossible that one band could write so many great songs in just one lifetime.

Strange isn't it. I mean, you know, like, The Beatles did it too. Only first. Seems impossible yet... there it is.
