List of hostels that I found in a travel guide for Vienna. No idea of how close they are to the Ernst Happel Stadium.

I'm not staying at them. Just put them up here for others.

I will be staying at the Vienna Sporthotel, about a 20 mins walk from the venue on the other side of the river. Decent price and reviews.

Hotel Praterstern is not too expensive (about € 44-48, not much for the Position of the hotel) and it´s near the Train Station Praterstern. It´s also a tube Station, bus station and cable car station. You can go from there to the Ernst Happel Stadion via tube, just takes a few minutes. Also you can reach the City in a few minutes with tube, too. So I think it´s not the worst choice. Because I´ll have to go to Vienna by Train it´s really a good choise because the hotel is only a few minutes walk away from the Train Station. So I´ll stay there. Does anyone know if there´s a support act before the Stones? What do you think is the best time to go to the Stadion? I can´t find something about the support on the www. Would be grat if anyone culd tell me something about thsi. Thank you very much, see you all in Vienna!

Now I know something about support and admission. I tried again (tried it before a thousand times) to speak to someone at the Ernst Happel Stadtion. Finally I was lucky and could speak to someone on the phone. They told me there is no support act as they know at this time They also told me the doors will be opening 2 hours before the show. That means at 17:30. Hope this helps you. Greatings from Austria!

@1962 I´m not so sure about the support act. Just remember the Shows at the O2 in London in 2012. There was no support act. So it´s possible there´ll be no at the Ernst Happel Stadion, too. And the official beginning was at about 20:00, so I think the boys will be on stage around that time. But maybe I´m wrong, we will see. But we´re not going there for the support act, are we? We´re going there for the Stones!

Yes but this is an open air stadium show (55.000 people) in summer.
I think The Rolling Stones will start at 21:00 earliest. (even 21:30 is more likely).
But of course I cold be wrong.

- this is from The Rolling Stones (Twitter) for today Oslo gig.

"They also told me the doors will be opening 2 hours before the show. That means at 17:30" - so this 2 hours before the show means maybe the support act will start in Vienna also at 7:30 pm, and The Stones at 8:30???

(OK, but of course Im not going to Vienna for any support act but for The Stones.)

There are no hotels r e a l l y near the Stadium but als long as you choose one along subway U2 you will get there easily. It will get crowded going back of course ...

When will be start and end of the show? 8:25PM - 10:30PM - similar to Zurich? My bus to home will start at 10:40PM...:-(

No idea.
10:40PM is my last bus to Brno. Next 6:40AM...

Showstart will be around 20:30 / 20:45 - duration 2:25
What about booking a hotel in the beautiful city of Vienna ...
or party till your next bus leaves for Brno in the morning

As always they will ask the fans to leave soon after the fireworks, but the party will continue outside
