Yeah, true. For someone who needs only a single ticket only though, there are only a few single seats left. To be honest, I'm also expecting a ticket drop on oeticket.com again. GA just changed from "sold out" to "currently not available" and I think the latter means there will be more on offer again.

When would be the time to swap a GA Vienna for a FOS Düsseldorf? Now? Later? Just a week before the tour? I see that the prices for the FOS tickets drop already. Actually good news.

Depends on how much time you have. You could go up to Kahlenberg (public busses serve the route) for a nice walk and a view over the city. There are also a couple of Heurigen (typical, local wine restaurants) on the way/nearby. Or you could go to the Donauinsel (Danube island), a recreational area.

MQ (Museumsquartier) in the first District is a more trendy space with a couple of good bars, restaurants and museums. The area around there (7th/8th) district also has a couple of nice shops and restaurants/bars.

Overall, Vienna is a nice city with tons of history and living quality is very high but it's clearly not a very trendy, buzzing city when compared to other European capitals.

Edit: I didn't actually answer any of your questions - and I don't know if there are any places at all to dance to RR or to listen to Stones records. I guess there is a slim chance for the a Tim Ries or Bernard Fowler gig as they regularly play Vienna (at least Bernard does).

The best looking tix I know are from 1982 in Germany.

I've send oeticket a mail asking for my ticket. Well,they will send it off tomorrow by DHL.

I hope that we can all meet at some warm up party the night before! That would be great!

Or is it better (for a stay from 15-17th) to buy The Vienna Card?

Yeah, valid for the whole day. Not sure how much the Vienna card costs, but public transport in general is cheap - maybe 6€ a day?

I bought tickets on oeticket.com and choose to pick them up in one of theirs offices. Maybe I won't be able to pick them earlier, so I am interested if I can pick them up on the day of the event?
