The excitement is building with a bit over a week to go until I fly to Adelaide to see them!

Any sources or supporting evidence to suggest that they are on the way? Nothing has been reported publicly. In Australia their arrival would be major media news.

Indicative Tweets from Ronnie, Mrs Ronnie, & Bernard. Open to all to see. Reports of Mick & Ronnie dining together in Dubai on Saturday last.

Agreed, so far ZILCH seen in the media about their actual arrival... but if they choose not to put out press releases, then unless a stringer spots the jet with the Tongue or they fly in by normal airlines, they could get in under the radar (pun not intended).

Channel 7 had a very,very brief shot of some live Stones footage last night to say they were coming back but not when exactly

My source was contacted by a source at international
Story was related to a Royal Brunei charter flight.
Has since said it may have been royals or related to racing season which is about to start in Australia.

I agree, when they arrive it will be all over the media.

Lisa F responded to a tweet of mine earlier today I asked her directly if she was in Oz yet and she responded "not yet"

One of the commercial channels - 9 I think - had (or even has?) a commercial arrangement with The Stones (or more likely the promoters) and they ran a "special" on the eve of the truncated tour.

So arguably, they are more likely to get the scoop on when the lads are in town.

(As for the lovely Lisa, I'm sure that she's not vital to the early rehearsals so that's why she's in LA for a few days.)

Ronnie just tweeted that same pic of the oil slick and him and Sally in Dubai that he tweeted 3 days ago.

The Stones just tweeted "11 days to go what do you want the boys to play?" - do you think they take any notice of responses? Hey Deathgod Ronnie just put old tweets on Instagram right, that's where I picked them up. He's obviously still on the ground in the UAE.

strange he's sharing 3 day old posts again. He FBed them as well.

Not really all that strange. Likely that someone other than Ronnie posts to his Facebook, and they were just playing catch up and posting his recent tweets, which are made by him.

Mabe they're easing into our time zone although Dubai is 5.5 hrs behind Adelaide?

No they have chartered an Air NZ 767 for the Australia/NZ leg as it's cheaper

Dunno - as mentioned above, it's now a Jet from Air New Zealand and has certainly to do with costs and availability. There're probably max. 5 Flights within AUS/NZ, the effort with a special livery is not worth it.

Or the plane was just not available because it was already booked by other clients. Don't forget this leg of the tour was postponed.

Did the Stones have their own chartered aeroplane on Aussie/k1w1 leg of this tour.
The 767-200 with the tongue logo emblazoned on the sides, registration ZS-DJI, was curiously absent. I wanted to see it up close at Sydney Aerodrome but the last known flight was when it flew out of Perth bound for Abu Dhabi on March 20. I have not been able to trace it since.

The local media in Sydney reported The Stones flew on a chartered Air New Zealand aeroplane Melbourne to Sydney.

Dear lurker, I'm not sure.

No they chartered a Air NZ 767 as it makes sense given that the tour finishes in NZ and The Stones fly their separate ways afterwards.
