On the Stones 3rd visit to Prague they played Sportovni Hala 1998 ''Bridges to Babylon''tour capacity was 12,000 and you could still get a ticket on the day......i think that was the only indoor show on that tour europe 1998 summer....

They also played an indoor arena show in Stockholm 1998.

So if I got it right he said that the Stones will do their last Europe Tour in 2014 - hope that´s not right! ;-) But I think the Europe Tour is now an open secret - I am looking forward to the possible gig list from BV!

They could play in Hyde Park again with a low possibility because Mick seemed very impressed by the this concert venue and the wonderful evening.
Some time ago bv spoke of a possible little us tour where they visit Miami, Housten etc. ...

Woooo Lucca festival ! smiling bouncing smiley
But... I can't believe it, it's too small for them. I went to this festival last year and I loved this place, really nice city and festival.

I don´t really think the source is reputable - I think they will announce the tour in late April, the first gig will be in middle or late June (my opinion). But nobody knows exactly, maybe this source is correct and I´m wrong. Let´s see ;-)

This was an article that appeared somewhen in late fall last year, nothing to be taken seriously!

Tour announcement in April means no Pinkpop for Stones. Why? Press conference Pinkpop is 12 March where the whole line up will be presented. Also ticket presales start 15 March and the ticket price will be heavily impacted if the Stones are part of the line up. So everything has to be announced by then, that's how I see it.

That's right - but maybe they announce Pinkpop some weeks before the whole tour as a special show.

this might get rather difficult to announce european Dates anyway and to follow a consistent tour schedule. July and August are the main Holidays in most of Central Europe. So to fill an Arena or even a Stadium with rather expensive tickets must be carefully planned. We will see when rumours get more consistent than last year ones for the fall tour which was more or less a done deal inside the knowledge People. For a mix of Arena and outdoor Shows May/June may be more feasable or even August/September. However more outdoorshows would tend to June and July.

Reading tealeaves again or should we board the Silver Train and take a ride to Angie what she knows?

Lucca is very small place. Went to see tom petty in 2012 and Neil
Young last year. It's a square in the center of the old
Town, Max 10.000 people can fit. I don't think it is possible

Sorry. In Lucca they would play out of the old
City. Or Rome , Circo Massimo, 500.000 people can fit. So, no problem

Have you been using their official plan on recent tours. I thought all that stopped in the 70s.

Anyway, I'd love to have overheard the discussion when Mick and Keith were first shown the tongue logo on the plane. I'll bet someone's butt is still flying through the air now.

Note: Logo had to be reversed on that side of the plane or it would have been cut off by the wing. Either that or it would have had to be a smaller logo so it would have all been above the wing. If I had to guess, the decision was made to reverse the logo so it could stay large as opposed to going with a smaller logo which would fit above the wing. Apparently size mattered more than tradition in this case.

Peace,
Mr DJA

Really hope to see them at National Stadium Warsaw. Great venue with strong brands performing so far: McCartney >30k, Coldplay >40k, Depeche Mode >50k and easily accessible for fans from eastern Europe.
