Ronnie, of course, but in respect to Darryl I would refer to Bob Dylan who said something of this kind that Darryl turns the sound of the band into somewhat like funk music. Hear "Charlie is my Darling" ... you can hear there how important Bill was for the characteristic sound. Or compare Starf u c k e r e.g. in '75 (LA Friday) to the versions of the Vegas years.
