Great footage thanks. I know many have a super high opinion of the 72 tour but this piece of film reminds me that i've always thought this is the point in Stones history where Jagger starts shouting, blustering and over posturing instead of singing or at least vocalising in tune. Dunno if it was the backstage pepsi or not but i've never found these shows satisfying for that reason despite the band's occasional brilliance. I think he sings a lot better now than then so maybe it was the pre-gig intake coz he doesn't have time on his side anymore yet he was excellent at times last tour.

Kinda funny what we thought of as fine and important events back at the time. Like Jagger himself once said, the Rolling Stones are no Mozart, and he sure as hell wasn't kidding. Still, a completely different time and one I wouldn't have missed for the world.

Look at Keith doing his best to make playing a few simple chords over and over again seem so very dramatic. Thats show biz I quess but if you ask me the whole thing was kind of silly and this is the tour that made them such a success. Wow!

WaHoooo......wow.....that that took me back! Especialy the rough sound, pushed up agaist the stage, you just can't see the floor covered with whiskey bottles.

The sound on this is more representative than Ladies and Gentleman

Great footage and performance. Pretty sure the end of the video where Mick throws stuff into the crowd is actually from Street Fighting Man. He is nowhere near the mic for the "whoo" at 2:57.

Cocaine, and the Stones were bigger than Keith only.
