I'd quite like shots of the band members wandering around half way up Hanging Rock, all the while calling out..."Miranda!".

But that's just a whimsy.

I would wish for a good old fashioned relatively close up, fixed shot, of the whole show combined with the "PICK A STONE" option. "PICK A STONE" allows you to choose which band member the camera stays on for the entire song... AND then being able to change/choose between those 5 shots on the DVD WOULD BE AWESOME

I like the fixed shot idea a lot.

Full-showtime-shot of MT's empty backstage chair which would mean he is ON stage..

All concerts - complete, without any overdubs - and a few days later the digital download on iTunes or Amazon or Google or on Rolling.Stones.com. As I heard some days ago in radio Bruce Springsteen will offer all his concerts of the next tour in this way ...

Show them playing a song and then cutting away and showing the
same song from 1969..

They did that on LSTNT movie with Time is on my side.

Re: The Rolling Stones on Youtube - Wish List

As has already been suggested, I am also very fascinated by the "Select a Stone" videos, where you can see one Stone for the whole time of a song. Or what every one of them is doing the last half hour or so before the show starts, as some kind of cross-cutting, because I like the different characters in the band and find it always interesting to see these little specific habits and features the individuals show.

I would also be interested in special videos, that are dedicated to what the background singers, Bobby Keys, Darryl, Chuck, (the choir, if there will be any) and so on are doing during and in preperation of a gig.

Lots of rehearsal videos, also of Mick Taylor during rehearsal! Backstage material in general.

Intersting idea by some on this forum and a question many have: What is Mick doing while Keith performs his songs?

Video diary by one or more of the four Stones, yes.

Close ups of their hands playing the instruments, other interesting DETAILS like Mick's feet dancing, him playing the harmonica, band and band-crowd interactions, details of the used instruments on stage.

Maybe how they build up the stage and technical gear, how they transport it. How L'Wren designs Mick's costumes, Ronnie paints his jackets and things like this related to preperations. How the band travels.

How they play a more daring setlist with not all 10 or so same hits as standards in every concert, especially the second half (exchanging of some of the hits instead of just exchanging the unusual songs).

They can film me, backstage, having a chat with Keith before the show.

I'd love to see fourteen different full-length songs from fourteen different shows!
Opening number at the opening show, second number from second show, etc. etc. etc.
Thanks for asking!

Can you please ask him if Brian or Jack played piano on Ruby Tuesday?

I would love to see some of those stripped down back stage rehearsals they sometimes do.

Plus some other Mick Taylor guest spots.

Also Ronnie giving us a B Bender demo/mini lesson!

Film them recording a new album like at Muscle Shoals in Gimme Shelter

Did you ever see the video of Keith doing Happy while Mick wouldn't give him the full stage and in fact tried to up-stage Keith using little else besides his ass? Upsetting to say the least and I never blamed Keith afterwards for wanting Mick off-stage completely after that stunt.

a quick timelapse with the crowds entering the venue up maybe up to the end of the show?

A little summary of this Thread (with BV’s consent):

How about a Tour Diary?

Basic idea: the viewer should have the feeling to be on Tour as a "6th Rolling Stone" (beside Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ronnie, MickT) .

Countdown to the Tour / Rehearsals:

- starting with the arrival to the rehearsals in Paris in Jan./Feb. 2014
- document each "working day" of the Stones similar to Brussels/Vilvoorde
- record rarely played songs, release them not immediately but later during the Tour
- the arrival to Abu Dhabi

For each day of the Asia-Pacific Tour:

- travelling of the Band

- show the cities offside well known tourist sites (in Tokyo maybe the nightlive)

- show the venue

- show the building of the stage, the transport of the equipment, the Tour logistic

- document the preparations for the show, like backstage rehearsals, the backstage rooms, light & sound checks, some impressions from their private live with their families during the Tour

- documentation about the instruments and their maintenance, their tuning

- selection and making of the costumes (especially by L'Wren Scott)

- the making of the final set list

- the last 15 mins before the show, strapping on guitars, last minute gear check, walk to the stage, the rush as they roll out

- first minute of the show with 50/50 crowd/band shots

- close-up shots of Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ronnie

- Mick Taylor guitar solos

- Charlie's playing: hands and feet

- interactions of all band members, especially Mick & Keith, Mick & Lisa

- "Select-a-Stone" feature with fixed shots like on the 'Four Flicks' DVD

- instrument-cameras (e.g. 'Guitar cam')

- interesting artistic settings like silhouettes, extreme close ups of hands / instruments, songs combined with historical footage

- Mick in the very front tongue stage working the crowd

- Keith and Ronnie doing the lip walk, interacting together

- what is Mick doing during Keith's set (maybe watching Keith doing his songs; some funny things)

- features about the "guest musicians" like Bobby K., Darryl, Chuck, Lisa, Bernard, Tim R., Matt C. and so on

- great crowd shots mixed with stage shots, footage of real fans

- Band introductions from each show, especially Charlie

- footage of the Band after the concert backstage, their reactions of the concert

- the fans' reactions after the concert

Live footage:

- "Clips of the day": at least one complete live song from each show (not only the warhorses!) plus at least one song from the rehearsals (which had it not made onto the setlist) plus the band introductions from each show

- Pay-per-View or Live-Stream of a indoor show (maybe Shanghai or Tokyo) and a outdoor show (maybe Hanging Rock), perhaps complete shows for online-purchase

Maybe there are some more ideas.

If this Tour documentation was a success, they should repeat it at the european leg of this Tour. Who knows, when the next big World Tour will be ..... smiling smiley

Most important thing: the band interaction, especially when they're playing on full strength.

I liked the idea on the Hyde Park film
showing some r e a l fans, esp. during Ruby Tuesday,
please no casted chimps or hired blondes who move
like table dancers during Start Me Up and screaming
WOW or YEAH. Thanks.

For me the only interesting stuff would be MUSIC!

- more live footage
- maybe one FULL SONG clip after each show
- rarities
+ rehearsals, pre-show warm-ups, sound-checks

Since the net is full of second rate quality videos following each show how about some real quality video directly from the band... Maybe even some internet simulcasts for those in other countries. I'd pay to sit here and watch any of these 14 shows..
