I liked it when it came out. I saw the Scorpions during that period on their Crazy World tour. They were awesome!

Didn't care much for that song but I liked the band in the early/mid 80's. Saw them in 82 in Vancouver on their Blackout tour with Iron Maiden and Girlschool supporting. Great show! Lots of good songs back then: The Zoo, No One Like You, Big City Nights, Still Loving You, Rock You Like A Hurricane, etc.

I adore Scorpions and saw them 14 times live but WOC was never on my top list. I wish they played some other songs instead of it...they got so many wonderful songs they never perfomed live and that's a pity...

Something tells me this is a very, very loved song by all casual listeners all over the world. This is every biker`s girlfriend`s favourite number ("Jeg liker balladene dems"

I`ve really done some catching up reading. It says that the rule of the time was first; a kick ass rocker, then; a ballad, just for their girlfriends...

I hate the Scorpions, although I'm a German. Boring mainstream stadium rock. It must be very disappointing for a self-appointed "hard rock" band that their only real hit was a ballad.

It sure was pedestrian.

I thought the Scorps made some excellent albums in the 70s, with Uli John Roth. 'Taken by Force' for instance is full of great tracks, 'Your Light' being a favourite, as well as 'We'll burn the Sky'.

They simplified their sound in the 80s to compete with the simplistic hard rock of the era, had some huge hits, made some good albums but then from '88 onwards became very corporate-sounding; outside writers, sound changed to sound a bit like Bon Jovi, and the ballads increased.

They made a comeback I think over the last 7 or 8 years, silly lyrics, but some good rocking tunes.

This is great though. Anybody who says this wasn't the love song of 1986 is a liar.

No. 25 on the US Billboard Charts and no entry in the German charts doesn't sound like a real hit to me. Maybe a small hit. WOC went straight to number one in a lot of countries.

I thought it was great. One of the few very ballads, and a heavy metal one at that, which I really like.

It's a great song. A lot of their songs got significant airplay in the U.S. despite the fact that only two of them were top forty hits.

"Lyin' awake in a cold, cold sweat. Am I overdrawn, am I going in debt?
It gets worse, the older that you get. No escape from the state of confusion I'm in.

at least here in richmond virginia i haven't heard "wind of change" on the radio in maybe 20 years but the rock station still plays "rock you like a hurricane" and "no one like you"
