The B-side to Wild Horses, isn't that mono?
Different version/mix too!

Different version?

Mono on the Wild Horses 7" single. A very different mix, a bit shorter and a more prominent Keith backing vocal.

Other unique mono mixes from this era are:

Brown Sugar / Bitch / Let It Rock. 7" single with mixes all different from the stereo mixes.

Tumbling Dice. The 7" single has a more punch than the stereo mix. (The b-side Sweet Black Angel, are the same as the album version).

Sway: Six collectible versions (full-time collectors only)

That's correct. I was listening to it right now.

Think that you are absolutely right !
The Wild Horses / Sway 7" IS mono on both sides !
Was not aware of this ! Always presumed it to be stereo.
This makes the list of mono-released songs to contain
at least 20 (1970 - 1982)
Thanks a lot for your input !

There are quite a few US mono promos:

"As we say in England, it can get a bit trainspottery"

- I´m pretty sure it is, - at least on my copy . . .

RS-21845 SP - run-out engraving 5 24 71 AT/DK
RS-21846 SP - same run-out engraving.

But it can easily be different on other versions, -
just like the BS / Bitch / Let it rock, - where some have mono on both
sides, and other have Brown Sugar in stereo, and the B-side in mono.

Well, if Wild Horses is in mono it is a fold-down of the stereo channels. No true dedicated mono mix was ever created of it. Sway, on the otherhand, is a true mono mix.

Thanks! thumbs up

A different Mick lead vocal, as well as fantastic back up vocals, even on the verses.

People say Keith was MIA? Good gosh, the harmony vocals here are pure perfection!

Mick Jagger's guitar comes across louder in the mix.

Im blown away by that mono TD too!
So many nuances coming through I can not remember. Little things. Micks humming into the outro. The reverb on the background singers.
Charlies doubletracked drums are unbelievable! Punchy! Had we heard this version more, then no one would have denied that fact when we discussed the doubletracking some years ago. Love these monos.

I´m sure you´re right ! - the vast majority of those mono´s from the 70´s and
early 80´s are fold-downs; -

I´m not so sure, - however, - about the short edited promo-version of Wild Horses, -
it has something "different", - but at this point I don´t have a true mono-setup - but working on it !spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

- I´ll post my list of mono-releases within a day or two -
contributions, additions and corrections will be most welcome !

Mono-releases ´70 - ´82

The list of Mono-releases, - to my knowledge - is as follows:

"Ain?t too proud to beg" US-promo, Mono/Stereo ?75

"All down the line" Mono, b/w "Happy" - Mono, - on some US-promo?s, ´72.

"Angie", US-promo, Mono/Stereo ?73

"Before they make me run" US-promo, alternate take, Mono/Stereo ?78

"Bitch" Mono on B-side UK-single, - BS/Bitch/Let it rock ?71

"Brown sugar" US-promo, Mono/Stereo ?71 - plus A-side on UK-release of
BS/Bitch/Let it rock, - Mono on first release.

"Crazy Mama" b/w Fool to cry, - both Mono, UK-promo ?76- same promo
released in France.

"Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo" US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?72

"Far away eyes" US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?78

"Fool to cry" b/w Crazy Mama - both Mono - UK-promo ´76 - same promo released
in France, - "Fool to cry" - Mono/Stereo released on a Canadian promo.

"Going to a go-go" US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?82

"Hang fire" US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?81

"Happy" b/w "All down the line" - both Mono, on some US-promos ?72

"I don?t know why" US-promo, Abkco, Mono/Stereo ?75

"It?s only rock?n´roll" US-promo, edited version, Mono/Stereo ?74

"Let it rock" Mono on B-side, UK-single - with BS and Bitch, ?71

"Miss you" US-promo, 3,31 version, - Mono/Stereo ?78

"Start me up" US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?81

"Sway" Mono - b/w "Wild horses" US-single ?71

"Time is on my side" US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?82

"Time waits for no one" US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?75

"Tumblin Dice" Mono on US-promo, - and Mono b/w Sweet Black Angel-Stereo ?72

"Waiting on a friend" 3,35 version, US-promo - Mono/Stereo ?81

"Wild Horses" Long and short version, both Mono, - US-promo and US-single ?71

A mono-promo of the "Sticky Fingers"-album is reported to exist, and so are two UK-promos, - Happy/Shine a light, - Rocks off/All down the line - which both - in my eyes - seem a little "in-house" - maybe grabbed by an employee -
and never really distributed - ?
A lot of Thanks to Mr.Tim - the stones.7.com

All comments, additions and corrections are mostly welcome !

Oh yes, there were! Concentrate on the intro, that will save you some time.
