According to what I gathered from the pressconference
they will play North America up untill december then have a Christmas break.
Then off to South America in January 2006 then have a break again in March - April 2006. Just to begin their European leg in May until September 2006.

That would be the first indoor show for many many years in Germany if you don´t count Cirkus Krone two years ago.

Indoor?

Btw, wasn't there an arena show in Munich? European tour start 2003... Olympiahalle.

Well, I don´t think they will play an outdoor show in Germany in december, y´know?

Oh yeah, you´re right with the arena show in Munich.

well, the World Cup draw will be December 2005 so thats the only other significant event around that time I can think of (apart from Christmas of course)

No chance of an outdoor show in Europe at that time

I cant see this coming off unless its tied to the World Cup draw but there isnt usually a concert to commemorate the DRAW for the finals!

they'll also still be in USA until December

The world cup-Draw is on the 9th of december. Definetely it will be shown live around the world. Would make sense for the Stones to rock the show----------and remember----Franz Beckenbauer knows Mick!!

right, their last show in the US is on Dec 1st, even with a bonus show two days later the Leipzig date on Dec 9th would be no problem for them. This would be perfect to start the ticket sale in Europe, remember they had trouble to sell out last time - so a little bit promotion would be good.

First: I think it was a mistake by ZDF!

But perhaps they will come to Europe/Berlin to announce the european tourdates here in December.
And perhaps they'll do a little performance, too.

Dec. 6th, you'll see .... ;-)

I don't think they will play a complete show anywhere in Germany in December. But maybe they'll take the chance to set up a press conference for the European leg of the summer tour and they could do a little performance like they did yesterday and announce the European tour dates and the beginning of ticket sales. That would make sense to me. They would get a lot more attention then. If they did their "usual" press conference one or two days before the tour start - or even one day AFTER the first show - like last time in Munich - they wouldn't draw much attention to press and people because everybody would only be interested in the World Cup starting at about the same time. So let's hope they'll give their European fans a little bit of the NYC pre-tour feeling.

I was thinking the same thing. An "ON STAGE" performance to announce the European tour. With a new football tongue, replacing this year's baseball version.

I wouldn't bet on December 9 and Leipzig. I think as they will add more dates in the US they will not be able to do that press confrence until just before Christmas. Usually they finish their first US leg around Keith's birthday which is Dec 18. And I don't think they want it to be connected with the World Cup thing. If they do it at all it will NOT be Leipzig and NOT on December 9. But let's wait and see...
