Has (I think) steffiestones seen this shot? Isn't it steffie who is writing the book on Altamont? IMO this is a great shot; really ominous weather or sky.
I wasn't even completely sure that the caption is correct. I guess that is LA in '69. Did Keith have that sweater with him in US '69? Never saw Jagger wear that outfit in '69 either. It looks like an earlier date. But Taylor is in the band; Wyman's hair is at US 69 length; Keith wore that jacket at Steve Stills' house...
Regardless - for an Altamont book this is a good shot.

That would be 1966 and that would be right before someone threw a piece of a wooden chair that hit Mick right in the face.
I refrain from calling this person an "idiot" because according to some witnesses the piece of chair wasn't aimed at Mick but was sent as a "present" to the policemen that were standing at the bottom of the stage between the band and the audience...
Still think you're pretty safe using "idiot"...

In the past 10 or 15 years, is there a photo of Mick getting out of a car that wasn't a Mercedes?

Hardly, Dude. Mercedes S Class is the official rock star and politicians car. Hence Black Limousine (but this one was silver, oddly enough)...

How down market.
In the 60s the car of choice was the Rolls Royce.
With blacked out windows if course.
