Steve Hackett, Neil Young and crazy Horse and Mott the Hoople were all fantastic. as were Y&T (a great but totally forgotten bluesy rock outfit). The best tho for me has to be Bob Dylan (3rd night in Glasgow). Just wonderful.

I take it you never saw the Stones this year?

I had a tix for The Rolling Stones' 2nd Hyde Park concert, but for unforeseen circumstances, I must resold my tix. If, I would have seen the Stones this year, then The Rolling Stones for sure, would be my favorite in 2013. So its now Volbeat.

Christian Scott in Gdansk (aaaaaaaaaaaamazing!!!!!),
Animal Collective in Gdynia (crazy),

Hauschka and Hillary Hahn in Gdansk.

Probably many more but these were more than outstanding.

This is NOT the Danny on your photo, who I saw in concert. I saw Danny Bryant, a great blues rocker from England. He performed in a rockclub for only 50 till 60 people. I requested 2 songs on his FB page and he was so very nice and performed those songs for me.

hoping to make a stones show next. year. just didn't work out this year

I saw a bunch of shows in 2013 including The Stones,The Who, Dylan on the Americana Tour, 2 four night runs by Furthur. These are my top 5;

1. Glass Harp, Kent Stage Kent OH. Was up in Ohio for a wedding and saw this show on a whim. These guys blew my mind. Phil Keaggy is unbelievable on guitar, the most psychedelic show I have seen in years. I understand they only play a few shows a year almost all in Ohio. They sound so connected like they've been playing every night for the last 20 years.

2. Pearl Jam San Diego CA. Best Arena Rock Band currently in existence IMO. This show was 3 hr 20 minutes! Best Fan Club in the business, The ten club really looks out for the fans. 2 great seats for $148.

3. Prince Odgen Theater, Denver. Prince was channeling Hendrix,short but excellent show. The only other time I saw Prince was when we were in London for the 2007 Stones O2 shows. This blew his O2 show away.


4. Furthur Ogden Theater Denver. This was really just the first act of the February Colorado Run before the show moved to Broomfield for the final three nights. Cool seeing them in small place and an extremely tough ticket.

5. Jimmy Cliff Boulder Theater, right after the great Colorado floods of 2013. Great healing energy.

Honorable Mentions: Robert Plant at Red Rocks, hearing a beautiful Going to California in that venue worth the price of admission. Black Crowes in Boulder and Gary Clark Jr. in Telluride.
