Not sure about Doom And Gloom in a live environment, but I still think the studio-release is terrific.

It stinks, in the studio and onstage. Dropping it in the middle of a set of their best songs only confirms what pure crap it is.

Liked this song from the first time we heard it on that far away recording from the rehearsals outside Paris to right fkg now... same damn thing with "Rough Justice" liked it since first hearing it played live outside of Fenway TO RIGHT NOW!!!

It worked really well both times I saw it on this tour.

We can't expect as brilliant vocals as on the studio version in a live setting. Mick is playing as well, and he is somewhat saving his breath on the choruses.

Other than that it rocks big time thumbs up

The Stones nowadays seem to be about "Singalong with Mick"..(alright with me, just about a bit of fun).........Doom & Gloom fits that so......personally I like it too.....except, Mick...You do not frack for oil, it's gas...they're fracking for gas..........smoking smiley

I too like this song, especially the studio version. It really swings and also proves just how versatile the Stones are.

D&G is the best song they've done in years.

There is really something special about this song to me. I was outside the studios in Suresnes while they recorded it, but I didn't hear it then. I heard it performed at Bondy on the day they released it, before hearing the recorded version.

By the time they played it live for the first time at the Trabendo, I had heard it around 10 times at Bondy, so it wasn't really a new song for me. It had already grown on me.

I like it. It's sloppy yet aggressive. A bit dirty. I love how Keith farts that riff right at the beginning.

So Mick sang it like that the entire tour? Way ahead, rushed and clipped? How does that add to the patina ha ha.
