I must say that if you've not seen "LOVE", then it's really really worth the trip - and at the moment you can combine it with Exhibitionism!

Small hint. In the venue where it's playing the seats all have small built in speakers in the headrest, so it helps to sit back and get an even better soundtrack.

Agree LOVE is great. My wife and I saw it during it's first year, but thought I read there's been some changes to it since then? Maybe some sort of upgrades?
Haven't look through all those videos Cristiano linked to yet, but maybe there's some info regarding that.
Wish I had those seats in our house! thumbs up

The videos are worth watching.

Basically they're about a 'reworking' of the show (which after 10 years doesn't seem too bad an idea).

The do mention two songs that have been takne out and replace, but as I'll get it wrong I won't say which ones.

John Lennon's personal stereo "Butcher Cover" prototype with his original artwork on the blank back and signatures of Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr on the front. The rarest Beatle record in the world, now on auction.

Thanks Cristiano. thumbs up

Here's the original Lennon artwork on the flip side of album:

"Lennon filled the blank back of the cover with an original piece of art in black ink. It fills the cover and depicts a man with a shovel and his dog, both posed in front of a setting sun.
Interestingly, he incorporated various tears, stains, and flaws into the picture".

This is also very interesting. I remember reading this story on Clinton Heylin's "Bootleg: The Rise and Fall of the Secret Recording Industry":

"Offered here is the Yesterday And Today Stereo Prototype "Butcher Cover" that was owned by John Lennon and even displayed on the wall of his Dakota apartment until the point where he had an assistant take it down and deliver it to the Record Plant where he signed it in blue ink: "To Dave from/ John Lennon/ Dec 7th 71".

The recipient was Dave Morrell, a Beatles fan and bootleg collector who was in the studio showing John some of his memorabilia and bootleg material. The Butcher was given in essentially a trade for a reel-to-reel tape of the Yellow Matter Custard bootleg that Lennon desired. Lennon filled the blank back of the cover with an original piece of art in black ink. It fills the cover and depicts a man with a shovel and his dog, both posed in front of a setting sun. Interestingly, he incorporated various tears, stains, and flaws into the picture."

Magical Mystery Tour Revisited

Arena presents the greatest Beatles story never told, a blockbuster double-bill. Beginning with a documentary full of fabulous Beatles archive material never shown before anywhere in the world.

Songs you'll never forget, the film you've never seen and a story that's never been heard. In 1967, in the wake of the extraordinary impact of Sgt. Pepper, The Beatles made a film - a dreamlike story of a coach daytrip, a magical mystery tour. It was seen by a third of the nation, at 8.35pm on BBC1 on Boxing Day - an expectant public, hoping for some light entertainment for a family audience.

Magical Mystery Tour was greeted with outrage and derision by middle England and the establishment media.

'How dare they', they cried, 'They're not film directors, who do they think they are?' they howled. Where were the four lovable moptops of Help! and A Hard Day's Night?

What propelled The Beatles to make this surreal, startling and - at the time - utterly misunderstood film?

Roll up roll up for the Mystery Tour!

It was indeed reissued in 2012. I went to a screening of the film on the South Bank in London where, amongst the invited guests, were two women who were on the bus itself. They said they bunked off work to be in the film and the whole experience was as crazy and surreal as it appears on the finished article. It was a tour which to them was certainly magical and also a mystery - they will probably feature in this documentary.

Yes, the film is listed as "Episode 2 of 2".

Good Info. I hope they do feature as I'm sure they have a tale or 10 to tell. I watched it at the time with my parents who are a similar age to Macca (my mum's 2 days younger!). They were amused at the total weirdness of it all!

Yet another great find Cristiano! Not a bad special guest to be able to introduce to an audience! Macca lives just down the road so he probably just grabbed his guitar and drove himself up there. What a moment!

Little Steven is friendly with the Stones too. In Oslo in 2014 in the days leading up to the 14OF show, I saw him in the City Centre and he was hanging out with them at rehearsals a lot.

Not to bump my own post, but I have never seen this before and it has some incredible performances on there along with pretty good sound and camera work. The Stones' set shows them playing most their r/b and Berry covers but they do The Last Time and you can see where they are going.
