For the first time in years, I did not get an email from the Rolling Stones marketing machine the day before my birthday, wishing me a happy birthday and reminding me to blast some of my favorite Stones songs on my birthday.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should we read anything into this?

yes. Theyve split up and this is their subtle way of telling you and everyone else.

I get it now-Hyde Park was their last show, and it was also their last marketing email (for the download). It all makes so much sense!

Lies! He sent me a nice signed photo one time after I sent him a birthday card and he'd been off the road for about 9 months at the time!

hahaha they do not want to remind you that we all getting old but still rocking.

Come to think of it, I didn't get a birthday email last month either...and I got such a nice one last year.

Well, they did ask me to buy some merchandise for my own birthday. My hope is that someone in the Stones organization, maybe even the guys themselves, decided it was too tacky and scrapped it.

That, or they just forgot me.

I just thought it was because they were getting old.

I doubt The Stones even acknowledge one another's birthdays.

Most likely, famous people only acknowledge their own birthdays.

Although Brian Wilson did call Paul McCartney on his 70th birthday....

This can only mean one thing! The end of the Rolling Stones! And to think I had the opportunity to dump them before they dumped me!

My birthday was back in June and I didn't get one either.

Once Keith blew off Mick's party it was all over now.

Maybe this thread should be merged with the 'Rolling Stones Live - might it be all over now ?' thread.
