I like Trouble. It's not the best song ever but it's nice and catchy enough (it was in my head when I woke up this morning).
Objective opinions can be positive too. Not to quibble with any particular individual here -
there's a widespread tendency to equate "objective" with "negative", and I object.
Trouble is a nice relaxed pop-flavoured summer release, with a hook that does what a hook should do,
and that acoustic ending is charming.
Unfortunately only negative opinions qualify here as fair, unbiased or objective (it annoys me too) - so here's a subjective one: I'm enjoying the hell out of Trouble - it's not much like the Talk is Cheap material, but more of a throwback to earlier days: of the same general type as Happy, though not of the same quality. It works for me, so I'm sorry that it doesn't for everyone.
Pity about that excellent video - let's hope it resurfaces somewhere.

for the video, I saw early this morning that it was pulled off. think it was pulled on by mistake. yes maybe an exclusive not yet expired. I think it will be back on soon. I dont think they want to see youtube proliferate with fan-made videos of the song

Even better than Eileen IMO. Didn't listen to Trouble over the weekend, just played it again this morning and it really has a nice smooth flow to it. Who plays slide, Waddy? It's reminiscent of Keith's 70's rockers. Classic Keith!!!

Excuse me but why is it ok to criticize all the time.( And some on hear do it because deep down they don't like Keith as they are in the Mick camp.) Not you Ssoul i know you to be fair and see both sides and i know you are a true fan of Keith
But why it is a problem for me to stick up for Keith or his new single. Why is that an issue more than negativity posts. I just don't get it. Its a very good single, not to everyones taste, but most people see it as a positive. But not on here. Very strange.

gotta agree, 999 is a riff, always thought the lyrics were totally undeveloped.
To me TIC had songs while the majority of Main Offender were almost jams( good ones at that) but a lot of MO just seems unfinished to me like "Demon" could have been so much better lyrically.

as a further point of reference, "Hate It When You Leave" and "Wicked As It Seems" are also top class Keith tracks. Unfortunately, "Trouble" is light years worse than the likes of those two. I like 999, but that's not the point. The point is that "Trouble" is quite underwhelming IMO.

I like "Trouble" and I liked "One More Shot". It's something new and fresh for a change. I mean: How may times can you listen to a stillborn live version of Tumbling Dice or Honky Tonk Women without going mad?
