What a pity, I was looking forward to the 02 on the 19th. I wish him.a speedy recovery.

I don't want to be a downer, but this makes me realize that our heroes are OLD...
Remember when Keith fell off the ladder in his library
Remember when Jimmy Page fell in his garden before the 02 concert
Remember when Steven Tyler fell off the stage into the crowd
I hate to say it, but these people (our heroes) are OLD, the baby boomers are also OLD, and they are now suffering the typical mishaps of the old.
Broke his hand, very unfortunate, I would not be at all surprised if it was something so simple as slipping getting out of the shower or tripping over a guitar cable during rehearsal, and reaching out as he fell to the ground, crack, a fall that would have had little impact when he was 20 or 40. It also doesn't help that so many of these guys are living high action rock and roll lifestyles where mishaps can occur at every turn, instead of "taking it easy" in the proverbial rocking chair.

Hello,
This may be only of any use to UK IORRians who were gonna attend one of the cancelled CH shows but if it helps one person and minutely inconveniences Ticketmaster then it has to be worth posting, right?
I had a choice seat for the Liverpool Echo Arena show and was duly miffed when I heard about Poncho's misfortune. Anyway, TM were pretty speedy in processing my refund but because I'm a tight-wad I noticed that they had only refunded £61 instead of the £64 that they debited from my card.
I rand the oxymoron that is TM Customer Services this morning (0844 4999 999) and they said that they will refund the difference. Poor sod on the dog had no explanation as to why they didn't refund the full amount in the first. Just how many £3s were they planning on keeping, I wonder?
Those results in full: THE MAN 0 - Lardy 1.
Excellent!
Cheers,
Simon.

The worst cancel for me was the Who @ the Joint in LV. They found John Entwistle's body whilst I was flying to LV. I was staying @ the Hard Rock & found out when I pulled up in the taxi & saw RIP John on the Marquee. Wasn't a good weekend. I did learn a valuable lesson though. Drinking in excess while gambling is not a good idea. Got to the point where it was cheaper to take the helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon than stay in the casino. Has served me well. I don't drink while gambling anymore & do ok at it. The Who did a make up show a few months later at the venue that was pretty emotional. Pete started crying during 5:15. Also on the make up trip, Robert Plant played the Joint the night before & was outstanding. PS: Also saw 1 of the first gigs without John back home in Washington state. Things came to a head during Won't Get Fooled Again. Pete did the full on guitar smash, I believe one of the last ones. He was remorseful at the encore & Roger offered to get some clamps & wood glue & put it back together. It was well beyond that!

I've just got my refund and it's a full £7.00 shy of what I paid them. It's not the first time they have tried this with me.
