One of my favorite bands. Mike Cooley is one of my musical heroes. Going to see Cooley in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!

Yeah, I like 'em. Pal of mine gave me a cd full of random albums on mp3. Go-go Boots is the only one of them that caused me to go out and hand over cash money for the CD, and i like it very much!

Where should one go after GGB?

I saw Jason Isbell a couple of years ago, and DBT a few months before that. Both were good, but I enjoyed the JI gig more, despite there only being an audience of about 35 or 40 people.

And I would have enjoyed it even more if he had played this:

Nice article about Jason Isbell in last week's NY Times Sunday Magazine, though the whole "sobriety" tale is getting a little tiresome at this point...

thats a hell of a version of a hell of a song.

Isbell is from Muscle Shoals basically. great songwriter...like Dave Alvin..live is where he's best, small band, medium sized venues..love it

Excellent band invested in all their cds and love them all. The Living Bubba is a brilliant song, as is Danko,/Manuel ...I could go on with this list for quite a while. A fine back catalogue and the new stuff doesn't disappoint.

Huge DBT fan. Caught them three times here in Columbia, Missouri. Cooley is a wonderful songwriter, and Hood ain't bad either. The band's really been cooking lately.

Also, The Dirty South is a GREAT album. Brighter Than Creation's Dark is their Exile On Main Street.

Great band. Know from their early days when I lived in Athens, GA. I love Cooley. Wish he sang more of the DBT songs.

Excellent band. Have all their records, even the early ones. But I don't get the chick bass player. She's just not up to the others in musicianship.

About 4 years ago they ended one of the live shows I saw with a long drawn out Moonlight Mile, building to a beautiful crescendo. That completely validated them on my favorite list forever.

Love DBT...have seen them several times.

They were at their best when Jason Isbell was in the band. I like Cooley & Hood, but the albums since JI left don't measure up.

They are still fantastic to see live.

I'm still scratching my head at the "two lame solo albums" Jason did that the journalist heard.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. BTCD is a bit winded in places. Southern Rock Opera is more in tune with Exile really.

I like them, and go-go boots is a very nice album.
I'd like to see them live but they don't come often to europe
