The interaction with Keith is almost palpable.

I think you're naive : if Keith had wanted MT back in the band in the 70's he would have acted accordingly. Think of what he did to put Bobby back in the Stones orbit despite Jagger's "nein".
Imo Keith resented even more than Jagger MT's flee from the band. Have you read that 1979 interview in which Keith implied MT was gay... (it was sth about drummer Mike Driscoll and Keith said to Phil Manoeuvre "he lives with him haha!")

Rehab is for wimps. ><
does having small feet make rehab harder?Quote

hinting he was ordered to shape up before the show.
No the first time we have heard something like this, and it is no small feat. It is easy to say, but actually doing it is something else. I credit Mick Jagger for keeping it all going, sending the "hints", setting it all up.... getting it rolling.
And props to Mick Taylor for doing what he had to do, and in the end making untold numbers of Mick Taylor fans ecstatic.
Maybe as a "Guest" he doesn't need to fit the criteria. Thus his short stage time and status.Quote

aren't they all required by insurance regulations in the contract to have a physical, and be certified medically sound enough to meet the conditions specified in the contract...?
that would mean rehab if necessary, in order to tour..

Having seen Taylor drunk as a skunk and totally out of it on numerous occasions, it certainly is a pleasure to see him now. Whatever the reason, musical, insurance, contracts, Jagger, I don´t care. Main thing is that he is playing with The Stones, in a good shape, and thereby getting public attention from tens of thousands of fans once more. A gigantic step from playing crappy blues clubs in little known small towns in Europe... It´s been so sad to see him sometimes, so I fully enjoy seeing him proud and joyful on a big stage to complete satisfaction from the crowd.
I wish him all the best. I hope he will stay sober, I hope they´re all good friends, I hope he will play some more songs, I hope he will get his fare share of the money, and most of all I hope he will be able to take care of himself and his career after this tour.
To me I think the list of songs he did recently, Sway, Knockin´, Rambler and Satisfaction is more or less the most we may hope for. Sure he could play All down the line, Sympathy, Shelter and so on, but the four listed is great. I don´t need any other "guests" if I get that in London.
Anyway, thumbs up for Taylors cleaning up.

So THAT'S why he only played 2 songs and "sat in the corner" during Satisfaction in Toronto after 4 songs in San Jose.... He went on a little horsey-ride. BAD Mick Taylor!

The four Stones certainly, guests, probably not.
Well it's good to hear he took responsibility or was given a good reason to do it, let's hope it won't be a "Ron Wood"" approach to rehabs since he's been through at least 3...I must say I was quite shocked to hear from a fan that when Taylor played the New Morning (in 2009 ?) he was started the concert by lying on the floor seemingly passed out...

I have never seen him live other than at the Newark show. What are his solo shows like? Does he sing?
