All 3 of the record stores I went to sold out the Rolling Stones 5x5 and Pink Floyd
pink vinyl as soon as they opened. I did manage to buy 6 vinyl records Saturday.
Moby Grape,Honeydrippers,John Kay,George Harrison,Alvin Lee,and of course The Rolling Stones.

On the day took the family to Berwick Street in Soho, London. Sunny afternoon, live music (Brainiac 5, Wire), market stalls, paint your favourite LP cover competition and 6 absolutely rammed record shops. I got the Big Star double LP plus singles from Hawkwind, Family and Primal Scream. Returned the Pink Floyd See Emily Play because it is NOT in a pic sleeve as per the original promos. Resorted to eBay for Drive In Saturday (Bowie), and Green Circles (Small Faces.

Top day !

I bought David Bowie 1965 EP and Pink Floyd - See Emily Play.

What Bowie ep? Are you in US? Only Bowie releases I was aware of were 7"s.

the 1965 ep is from last year, this year bowie released a 7" from his actual album

Just out of curiosity, do you also have a copy of the UK original?

*Not* the same as everyone according to that article:

The reason we’ve left it till now is because the record won’t be available in either the US or Canada"

hence my query. I've got a 10" of that from way back, late 70s or early 80s, but a different cover.

Pretty cool list of the 18 greatest record stores in the world. Something for everyone, from Wales and Manchester, to Cairo, Brooklyn, Dubai, Tokyo, and Iceland...number three, yeah!!

What a shitty list. A list that has "Spacehall" in Berlin on it and calls itself "best record stores" is absolute rubbish. That store sells phonys for unreasonable prices and put 100% profit on RSD-releases. DO NOT GO TO THAT STORE! Hate it. Unfriendly staff as well...

Thanks for the list Latebloomer. Making note of the NOLA shop.

You're welcome, MingSubu. I noticed that two of the stores listed are on the upcoming tour route, so maybe a fun stop for some of the traveling Stones fans.

They also have a best bookstore list that's kinda cool...been to Politics and Prose in DC a few times.
