Re: "Thousands" of $85 Tickets - latest news!

Observations:I went to the 1st and 2nd shows in Chicago with the 2nd Friday show much more crowded as well a better performance(one of the best of 15+ RS shows I have seen).I paid $250 for section 208 the day of Tuesday on ticketmaster which is clublevel on opposite turn. There was very little security and after 3rd song was able to move 5 sections closer and had a VIP view with zero questions. On Friday I had $250 sec 317 2nd row and couldn't move as security was tight and it was sold out for most part. To be honest the sound was a ton better in 300 than 200 and louder. I think because the sound system is hanging so high it's perfect for 300 and we seemed very close despite 300 level. On the $85 tickets I signed up and never got a notice but if you got a tix for Tuesday it would have worked out as you most likely could have moved closer if you had been even the slightest bit crafty. Friday well probably not so get what you pay for I guess. It seems that it paid to wait with the flex prices as you could have gotten great seats in 100 and 200 for 250 bucks up to show time on ticketmaster. If you bought early you paid 250 bucks for 300 or 600 bucks for 100 and 200 sections. Early only gave you a chance to buy the few 150 dollar tix.

Someone somewhere was very nice enough to post the two links for the $85 tickets for the Boston shows. I had thought that it was on this thread, but I guess not. Would someone please be so kind as to repost them here?

Thanks much!

On May 25 in Toronto our $85 seats ended up being in 311 3 rows from the top. Crap seats. After getting our tickets we immediately went to Guest Services and asked for a relo however they didn't have anything available. We went back about 15 min before showtime and they told us they released the relo's and there should be a guy in the nosebleed area offering trades. Sure enough right outside the entrance to our section there's a guy there at a table with a small stack of tickets available to trade. We gave him ours and he handed us 2 lower bowl tickets. Even the tickets themselves had RELO on them where the price is listed. Score!

Hopefully I'll be this lucky again for tomorrow's show...

Marcust99, nice story. Where in the ACC is Guest Services? If I get shitty seats tomorrow I may do what you did.

There are 2 - the first one is on the bottom floor as soon as you go in the main entrance (from inside the atrium) to the left. The second is right opposite
section 320 (I'm pretty sure it was 320)...

If all the stories that the Boston shows are selling slowly I hope they offer relo's on the 12th and 14th if I get crappy seats

I bought $85s for all three Chicago shows.

1:
Got 300 level, went to the box office, complained, got upgraded to Section 105, lower level, awesome seats, solid show.

2:
Got GA pit, absolutely awesome, best show i've seen since Licks. CYHMK was insane!

3:
Got 300 level, went inside, waited until the video started, used Section 105 tickets from show 1 to get into Section 105 again. Nobody showed up, stayed there the entire show. Weakest show of the three, decent, but really sloppy in parts.

But I'd say the $85s worked out just fine.

What a wonderful opportunity - the city will be alive with the F-1 race during the day and the Stones at night. Wish I could be there.

First $85 drop since Anaheim, and special guest announced two days in advance suggests Montreal ticket sales might be a little soft.

The fact that they announced Montreal a couple days after the two Toronto shows probably resulted in a lot of people that would have gone to Montreal to get tickets for Toronto. That's the case for me at least. Still tempted to drive up to Montreal from Ottawa but will probably stay reasonable and not go again.

If I were that close, and got 85s I'd make the trek...what is that, an hour drive?

There seems to be a new upper level section rear stage added to the Boston shows that comes up occasionally for the $85 price point, but no tix are being found in that section. However, it wasn't an option when I first started looking a few minutes ago...

There are no specific sections sold @ $85, so info in the drop down box doesn't apply.

Well, with that said it might be a good indicator.

That's exactly where they placed us initially, way up and sort of behind the stage.

We were relatively close, but the view was obviously not premium. I think what they do is plan on moving you to good seats, if the good seats don't sell out, which is exactly what happened to us.

We got moved to the lower bowl beside the stage in what were clearly $600 tickets.

It is worth the risk.

The same "Section" info appears in both the regular and $85 pages for Boston.
